And Then There Were None on DVD and Blu-ray
As the world teeters on the brink of World War II, 10 strangers are invited to isolated Soldier Island. Among them are young secretary Vera Claythorne (Maeve Dermody, Serangoon Road), soldier Philip Lombard (Aidan Turner, Poldark), General John MacArther (Sam Neill, Jurassic Park), spinster Emily Brent (Miranda Richardson, Parade’s End), and Judge Lawrence Wargrave (Charles Dance, Game of Thrones). With seemingly nothing in common, the guests wonder who their mysterious host may be. But the ominous reason for their visit soon becomes clear…and by the end of the night, the first of them is dead. One of the better 70's movies. Shouldn't be classified as a blaxplotation movie. Really good. Pam Grier looks amazing and she shows it all. Worth the money

This movie was a remake of "Get Carter"with Micheal Caine in 1971.When I saw it again in the 90's,that's when Ifound out that this was a remake of that 1971 film.In fact,it was so good that it made me want to check the original;it was way better than that mess with Stallone.Because it was a Black exploitation film,it has been forgotten by many people.Bernie Casey was just as cool as Michael Caine was in "Get Carter"1971,and just as ruthless. The main character,Tyrone Tackett could stand with Clint Eastwood,Steve Mc Queen and other action characters of the period.Despite it being made by MGM,it wasn't promoted like Shaft,Superfly, etc. So watch and enjoy an raw movie with action, sex, violence.

After having seen this film some 37 years ago, it did my heart good to own it and see it again. Having a copy of it, pleases me greatly. The film was much as I remembered it, which was also satisfying. At a time when Black actors and actresses, were saving Hollywood, it was good to know that there were also some competent ones.

I enjoy collecting black films or those from the blaxploitation era. Despite the lackluster acting, the movie was interesting due to death by lion. Porn and revenge have been done better in other films such as Hardcore. It has the usual staples of corrupt police, thin story, and this was simply to add to Bernie Casey's other film, Black Gunn with Jim Brown.

This was probably Bernie Casey's best film as an actor and he has been in some good ones. This was also one of Pam Grier's early movies before Foxy Brown and Coffy. This movie was straight up gangsta. It's also one of those lost 70's classics that is very difficult to find and if you're lucky enough to come across it, you'd better keep it locked away in your archives. I'm glad i got a hold of it.

Bernie Casey is cool as hell!!! He did his thing in this movie. He talked the talk and walked the walk.. If you love that jive, hip talk from the 70's. You'll love this movie. Highly recommended!!!
