My chickens aren't able to free range regularly. They get bored and peck each other a bit, nothing major, but enough I wanted to prevent it if I could. I had read that these feed blocks are a good source of amusement to ease the boredom of the run so thought I would give it a try. They love it. Just be aware that it does seem to fall apart very easily even when kept out of the weather. Mine is in several large chunks after four days and the first one I received was totally demolished in the box but still edible.

Go to your local Tractor Supply, Souther States or similar store: They will sell these blocks for less than half the price it's sold for on Amazon.

Your chickens will love it. It is cheaper at my "local" feed and seed store, unfortunately it's a 30 minute drive there. This was shipped for free in 2 days and keeps the chickens happy for a couple weeks. I use it during the winter months as a supplement and as a backup in case my kids forget to feed the chickens one day.

My chickens love this flock block. I leave it outside in their yard and it lasts forever. Doesn't flake or fall apart unless it is left out in rain or snow. Great to keep chickens occupied. Wouldn't be without it for my chickens.

I love this in theory, but 3 different friends tried it and each one lost 1-2 hens immediately after providing it. Sure, they loved it, but they died from crop issues immediately thereafter (within two days). Very sad.
