In order to keep my entire collection of Martha Stewart Living Magazines organzied I purchased some of these boxes (6), while I need more to store all of my magazine issues I did not want to order too many only to find out that they would not be good. So I ordered half of what I needed and will order the other half here soon.

Each box will hold a years worth of magazines (Including the thicker issues like Martha Stewart Living, some years I had to sort of squeeze them in tightly but they hold a year each box.

The boxes needed no assembly, just a new label made with a label maker.

I am giving this is 4 star rating instead of a 5 because I do feel that the price is a bit high for a magazine file. I would be happy (5 star happy) with a price of around $8 not the $12.99 + Shipping that I paid. I am trying to see if a merchant here on Amazon will offer a 8-Pack price in the sage green color.

I also ordered the Cargo CD boxes and love those too to hold all our CD's, DVD's, and computure disks...I am an organizing fool!

I have tested many, many magazine files over the years. The Cargo collection is by far the best. They are wider than most, and deeper than most (many will not hold a manilla file folder, or a pocket file folder, or standard sheet music books, etc.) Best of all, they are far sturdier than most. Regardless of the number or weight of items inside, they always stand straight. The chrome pull-tab beneath the chrome-framed label insert is another very nice feature. They cost a little more than most, but I am absolutely convinced they're worth it. Won't ever need replacing, and come in so many nice decorator colors.

I ordered these magazine files hoping for something with shelf appeal and that would color coordinate with my decor, and I certainly got that. I ordered the red spice color and it is a nice rich off-red with classy looking black trim. I have not had the trouble some customers have had with damage to the magazine files in shipping, however, some of the other cargo natural items I ordered did have damage (and were exchanged). The color seems to be fairly standard across the cargo naturals line, matching the other boxes they offer which helps make your office space more organized. I should note that these are not necessarily sturdy products for a lot of movement and wear. If you expect the items stored in them to be constantly accessed by a lot of people, you'd possibly be better off getting a durable hard plastic file. However, very few magazine files can beat these for aesthetic appeal, and if you aren't planning on rough use they should last a long time. I do wish the metal trim on the sage and blue models was black as well so you could mix colors more easily.

The files are roomy enough to tidy up all types of magazines and even slightly larger magazines and art books. The slot for the label makes it easy to keep track of what's inside. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and already purchased a few more to fill in the rest of the shelf.

I searched a lot before finding magazine files that I liked that didn't cost an arm and a leg. These look nice on display and are sturdily made. Still seems a tad expensive for something to set on a shelf to hold magazines . . . but I am happy with these and glad I made the purchase.

This magazine file is a great size. Some I saw in the store looked too smalll to hold some magazines out today. I got it to hold paperback cookbooks and recipe folders. It is perfect. The only thing I would change is the color. It is not really red, but sort of maroon.

I bought one of these along with a couple of the Ikea Kassett models to see what they both looked like. No question this one is sturdier and would handle abuse better. It looks fine, but so do the Ikea ones. I needed quite a few so even though the Ikea's are overpriced here on Amazon compared to Ikea stores (no Ikea store within 500 miles of us) we bought the Ikeas. It seems like ridiculous high pricing is rampant in the magazine file world and this one suffers from that malady.
