I have a bichon shih tzu hybrid. And the hair on his head is curly like a poodle, and the rest of his body is straight and fine (like a little girl's bangs, ever cut them crooked?)I have an Andis 2 speed clippers, and I tried click on combs (pushed the hair down), cutting his hair using my fingers as a gauge, and finally bought this size blade. I wash then dry the dog, comb him out good, and run the clippers with this blade over his entire body in about a half an hour. It cuts the hair fairly short, but not too short. And its fast enough it doesn't stress the dog. After I use this blade, I use a #10 to do his tummy, rear end, etc., scissor cut around his feet, and I'm done. less than an hour. Then I don't have to comb him out every day, just his ears and tail. I love the long haired look, but its not practical for a wild one that runs through the mud and weeds every day. I use a #10, this #3 3/4 and a # 7 for both of my dogs. And I like the ceramic edge.

We've been grooming our GoldenDoodle for the past seven months since the "professional groomer" cut him so short he needed sun tan lotion and left clipper burn. I couldn't do any worse. Bought an Andis professional clipper and two sets of plastic guides. They worked OK but I was now ready to buy specific heads for the desired length. Read the reviews and bought this head for his body. Very, very pleased with the results, short but not shaved, perfect length, also much easier and quicker than the plastic guide. Delivered in a very timely manner with free delivery. Thanks for the previous reviews, very helpful

This blade is sharp and works great. I like it because it cuts to a nice length without me having to use the attachable lift combs. The combs are to cumbersome and fall off too easy. It shaved right through my wirey haired labradoodle and at 85 lbs that's a lot of hair! The blade did get to feeling hot and I did have to use the cool down spray on it, but it doesn't heat up as fast as the all metal blades. Great product.

This is the way to go. Last much longer than steel blades. cuts cooler. But must be careful with the ceramic cutting blade, can break if dropped. Have used the ceramic blades for over 3 years with no problems or damage. Would highly recommend them.

Excellent product. Used it to cut my dog (she's a Chow / Golden Ret. mix); she's got quite a lot of hair, along with an undercoat that usually is a bear to work with. This blade worked very well...just as advertised.

I bought this blade as a replacement for my original, non-ceramic unit that I allowed to rust. I use this for shaving my house cats and the issue with the previous unit was the heat. After about 10 minutes of work, the blade would be hot enough to irritate the cat.

With this new blade, however, it never gets warm. It also cut right through the coat on both cats with ease. Once of the two has a very fine undercoat, but that was not an issue for this blade.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great blade. Cuts through my poodle's hair like butter. Makes grooming time go by fast. I used it to cut her body and didn't have to keep going over it a bunch of times like other blades.

After having purchased the Andis Clippers (AGC Super 2 Speed)I also ordered 3 3/4, 4FC, 5 FC and a spare 10 all ceramic edge blades. I am cutting a Toy Cavoodle and found the 3 3/4 blades not great for the length of coat on the dog and found it a bit noisy(could have been my inexperience with first time use of clipper and blade). The other blades cut like a dream and were not too noisy on the clippers. They do get quite hot so split the grooming over several breaks. Also used the Andis Cool Care Plus spray - which is worth every cent! It helps to cool the blades as well as lubricate, disinfect, clean and prevent rust. The AGC Super 2 Speed clippers work well and are not too noisy - but not silent either. My dog had been to the groomers four times prior to me doing it myself for the first time. Would suggest taking dogs to groomers so they are at least used to the noise of the clippers and being handled and clipped.
