Ok, so it's just a box that anyone with any carpentry skills whatsoever could make from a small sheet of plywood from a local hardware store...

With that said, it IS well put together and SEEMS to be doing the trick. My doe rabbit is due here in the next couple of days. We put the box in four days ago and lined it with pine chips and hay. She has been adding her own hair and has created a nice little "hole" at the back of the box to give birth in.

Our doe rabbit is a New Zealand breed and is rather large. I'd say she is probably about 7 pounds. She seems to fit fairly comfortably in the box. Look at the dimensions carefully. I think that one reviewer said that two rabbits may fit in it, but CERTAINLY not comfortably. If you are getting this for its true purpose as a nesting box, it is just for ONE animal. Once a litter is birthed in it, there won't be room for any more!

Again, this is a well put-together box. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to just spend a bit of money and save a bit of time rather than trying to put one together themselves.

8/24/2013:

Not too long after submitting my review, my doe gave birth (in the middle of the afternoon no less). She had a perfect little "hole" formed in the back of this box and comfortably birthed seven kits. She filled it in with a LOT more of her own fur and all seven kits survived and -seem- to be doing well. Bottom line, the box is certainly doing what it's supposed to! I would (actually will) buy another and recommend to anyone.

I was skeptical about this nesting box at first. My rabbit is quite large (about 8-9 pounds). I thought he wouldn't fit in it. But when I got it, I was so relieved. It was large enough to fit maybe 2 bunnies. It is quite sturdy. My rabbit loves it so much. I put some bedding in the box so its soft and comfy for him. He sleeps in it all the time. And when the sunshine is too harsh on him, he even hide behind the box for some cool shade. He hops on it and off and seems really enjoying it. I give it a 5 star for sure!

I have very large rabbits and this box has prevented many crushed baby bunnies.

We ordered 2 of these after both of our does lost 2 litters each in a row. The kits were climbing out of the other boxes we had and froze to death. Since we have had these boxes the babies stay in the box until old enough to survive. We have had 2 litters and are very happy that all 14 bunnies have survived.

I don't normally write reviews so this alone should tell you how much I like this nest box. These are nice and heavy so no worries about temperamental does knocking them over and losing a litter of kits. These work great for these harsh winters in Maine, much better than the metal ones sold by tractor supply. I have a Flemish Giant doe and this nest box works great for the bigger breeds of rabbits.

This nestbox was very nice for my rabbits to nest in. Although this product does not have a removeable board so when the babies get older they wont make a mess it is nice otherwise. They are a little narrow but the wood is thick and it is pretty deep.

I ordered 4 of these to use as nest boxes for my chickens. For whatever reason they only shipped 3 and then eventually the final one about a week later. 2 of the 4 were perfect even though the materials used are very cheap. The other 2 looked like a toddler had assembled them. They were coming apart. The wood was split from misplaced tacks and other tacks were sticking out of the product. I am very unhappy with my purchase given how much I paid for these. I could have bought a nice, inexpensive piece of sheathing and made my own for less cost. In fact we did after I repaired the crappy boxes I received.
