I mean, it's a rubber mallet. It's not like there are any bells and whistles in this department. You take the mallet and you hit stuff with it. It's done a fine job of doing that thus far.

You'll probably want to cover the mallet if you're using it on projects you care about, as the black will come right off of the hammer and smudge onto whatever you're hitting with it.

I needed a rubber mallet to tap air bubbles out of brake calipers when I was flushing brake fluid. This mallet met my expectations. It worked much better than both my knuckles and the palm of my hand. It also looks and feels like it would inflict 8 oz. of hurt on my thumb if I weren't careful.

The only deduction for a star is because the mallet was accompanied by an overwhelmingly strong solvent smell. This was to the point that there is still a lingering Scent of a Mallet in my garage. Can anyone say "carcinogen" ?

It is fine, but I should have bought a different one from local Lowe's or Home Depot, as I did not realize how small this mallet is, and the bigger ones sell at about the same price at Lowe's or HD as this little thing.

These are good solid mallets and just what I need to drive and pull tent stakes since I added an S hook to the end. Darn good deal!

I bought this hammer from Life and Home for $4.99. I used it to beat an oil pan down from its gasket sealant, and with a pick, to hammer out a two-piece rear main seal on my Jeep. It has decent length to work with under a vehicle, and the rubber part is sturdy on the handle.

If you're looking to buy a rubber mallet online, this is a good choice. If you're going to be making a trip to Walmart any time soon, save yourself some money and buy a similar version of this same hammer for $2 at Walmart.

Cheap handle, but works great. Rubber mallet doesn't leave behind marks as much as other rubber mallets. The sticker on the handle is annoying, as it doesn't come off easily. I had to scrape it off then use Goo-Gone to remove the sticky mess left over. Tip #1: Thoroughly clean the rubber head before using to get rid of manufacturing oils. The rubber head is still soft and pliable (ie: not dried out) after one and a half years later.

Worked as expected for a good price. BEWARE the black rubs off! If I would have known that I would have chosen a white mallet. I was using this to do nailhead trim on cream fabric. Needless to say it did not work out well. I had wet ones on hand to wipe off the black immediately.

I have used this for many small jobs around the house. It's lighter and quieter than a regular hammer, and there is little or no damage to whatever you're hitting with it (example: assembling a kitchen cart's metal, plastic and wood parts).
