It doesn't work - Updated 4/21/2011

It works but it takes an INCREDIBLY long time for this thing to charge.

The first time I used it I left it charging all day after my batter completely died. After being on the charger all day (literally almost 7 hours) it was only 3/4 charged

It has been on the charger right now for 2 hours and I was able to view 1 photo before it shut off again.

I'm considering just biting the bullet and paying $47 for the one at the Sony website.

The charge lasts a pretty good amount of time.

UPDATED 4/17/2011:

I left it charging all night and just put the battery in my camera and it died within 30 seconds. So before I rule out the battery, I'll have it tested. But after charging 9 hours, it didn't hold a charge.

If I have to buy a new battery and charger, it makes more sense to buy a new cybershot. It would only be $30 more.

Update 2 4/21/2011:

I got my new-to-me (used) cybershot that I ordered from ebay complete w/ Sony charger and all accessories the camera comes with. After having the battery on this charger since my last update, it still had no charge. I used the SONY charger that comes with the camera and it charged it. The battery is fine.

This charger doesn't work at all.

I will return this item for a refund.

Do yourself a favor and either buy a new-to-you camera from ebay or some place else $20 more than the SONY website has the charger or bite the bullet and pay the $47 for the SONY charger. At least you'll know it will work.

Received alot quicker than estimated delivery date

I received the charger a lot quicker than the estimated delivery date that was given to me. I have to admit the product itself looks kind of cheaply made, but I tried it out and it worked great! I have not tried the car charger yet but hopefully it will work just fine.

Great for value

I bought this charger and at first, thought it was some piece of junk made in that was made in china or thailand. But when i actually tried it out it really surprised me. It worked out great! It also came with a car charger so i can use it in the car as long as i have the battery charger. All you have to do is put the battery in and plug it in and wait. It also has a light so you know if it is charging or not. I haven't used the car charger yet but i expect it to work. The price was about $4.00, and it was great for the price. The only thing that i was concerned about was that it took quite a bit of time to ship. For a normal item, it is about a week, and this was shipped in that time. I live in Andover, Massachusetts and this shipped from new jersey. It should have taken less than a week to ship. It must have been the carrier, USPS.
If it were Fed-Ex, it would have taken about 3 days. But other than that, it was fine.

Works great, excellent replacement for lost charger

Item was just as described and works great. I had misplaced my original battery charger and was really up a creek, since the NP-BK1 has such a specialized charger. I wasn't able to find anything in local electronics stores that would fit correctly. Luckily Amazon came to my rescue! Quality of the item is good, for the price, and the extra car charger adapter is extra handy. I'd buy it again and just might, since I seem to misplace things a lot.

When ordering the charger I needed, it stated it was the one I needed. After clicking on it to move to my cart, I didn't catch the description had changed by one alphabet letter that caused it not to fit my camera battery. I'm not sure who's fault this should be, but seems very misleading.
I emailed them and they are sent me a form to fill out and mail back, which I have to pay for. I am sending it back today, so we'll see how prompt they are with my refund.

good item for a great deal

I did my research looking around for a replacement for my sony camera charger that I lost. I saw ones going for $32.00 on other web sites that didn't include the option to charge your battery in the car. I would definietly recommend this product to anyone who uses there camera as often as I do so you can charge it in the car or at home! The only negative thing I'd say about it is it looks cheap. But for about $7.00, I guess you can't complain!

Great product for the price

I had to buy this because I lost the charger for my Sony CyberShot DSC S780. After looking at how much the chargers were on the Sony website (around $24), I decided it would be best to buy from Amazon. The charger is bulky, but it charged just as well as my first Sony brand charger. My car charger did not work, but I am unsure if the port in my car even works. Overall, this is a great deal for what you are paying.
