Great shoes!

I am a huge fan of Prince "Mid" style shoes having historically purchased the Mid Viper. However, I felt that the current Viper design was unattractive and this one looked like an excellent alternative.

I wear a 12 Viper and purchased a size twelve of these too. The size seems to match reasonably well although it fits differently. (Narrower foot bed with a smaller ankle opening.) All that said, they fit fine. (Keep in mind that I have only worn them once and so they are not broken in.)

In short, these are attractive shoes that work well and I am happy with the purchase and would recommend them to others.

Redesign is an improvement

I've been wearing the Prince mid cut tennis shoe for several years and I've found them to be comfortable and fairly long lasting. I play 3 X a week and the shoes last about 6-8 months. The new design lis an improvement aesthetically and still provides good support and comfort. The price is little steep but maybe that's because it's a new release and someone will start dis counting them in the future. The new T22 Mid tennis shoe weighs about 2 ozs less than the previous model (probably because of the mesh inserts in the front) so they should be cooler but support and durability may have been shortchanged - only time will tell

I love Mids

This shoe is my current favorite. It has a wide forefoot and is very stable due to the stiff stabilizers up front. It gives great support. Some may find it heavy. That's the price to be paid for stability. The Mid has an extra eyelet that I use for my left foot which is more narrow than my right. It secures my left heel and eliminates slipping. I also like the "rugged good looks." Sweet ride! The problem is limited availability. I'm looking for a pair for tens right now. The search continues.

but that still didn't offer enough comfortable room in the width

Had to return the shoes, as the width (toe box) is TOO narrow. They were listed as having above average toe box, which lead me to purchase them, as the only manufacture I'm aware of that has a width size is that of New Balance and I just don't care for those shoes. Regardless, once I received the shoes, I loosened the laces, but that still didn't offer enough comfortable room in the width.
I have ordered a 1/2 size larger to see it that will add a bit of width to the next pair. We'll see

Multi sport shoes

I started wearing this model and its predecessor for racquetball years ago. This shoe is sold under the Prince/Head/Extelon umbrella but same shoe regardless of which label is on them and a quality product. I found out these work, for me anyway, when I'm fencing. They are a little heavier than fencing shoes but the price differential makes it worth the extra footwork. If you fence on grounded strips (usually perforated metal plates lovingly called "cheese graters"), I can recommend these to hold up better than any of the fencing models out there.

Only shoe for me - T22 Mid

I wear an orthotic to fend off plantar fasciitis. The Mid shoe allows me to insert the orthotic and still be secure that the shoe will not roll over on my ankle. This is a solid shoe that works perfectly for me.

good for women, too

Recently I've found it virtually impossible to find a midcut tennis shoe for women. I usually wear a women's 9, and I bought these in an 8, and they're great. They're very comfortable, and the fit is perfect.

A very uncomfortable pair of tennis shoes. Wore it only twice hoping it would break in but no luck. Asics I had before were much better and comfortable. Will not reccomend these. Read more
