This cover is easy to apply and looks great. It offers protection from scratches and dings and is eye catching too. It has fold down legs that allow you to elevate the back of the laptop for easier typing. The bottom is an open grid for full ventilation so I don't see where there would be a heat problem, especially when the legs are down. I did not order the keyboard protection because someone said it came with this hard shell case but mine did not come with one. On second thought though I can see where the open keyboard would help ventilation and I am just as pleased to not have that covered.
My Mac Pro still slips in and out of my laptop sleeve case without any problems.....that case is a snug fit and I thought this cover would make my Mac no longer fit but I need not have worried; it adds so little to the overall size of the laptop that it does not matter.
It is a very attractive red and adds an element of personalization with the added benefit of providing protection. That's a win-win in my book!

I like this hard case very much it is valuable for that price and is really charming color too. Also it fits my Mac Pro perfectly, I would really strong recommend get this instead you pay double of this amount to get it from the apple store which the quality gotta be the same.

This cover snaps onto my Macbook Pro 15" without forcing it and stays in place. It looks great and all my ports are still accessible. There are two rubber pads on the bottom near the user that are high quality silicon, so your laptop won't slip and two latches at the front that allow the user to prop up the laptop. Very nice to use. It makes it very comfortable. One plus of getting this is if your going to get a keyboard cover already, DON'T! This case comes with a clear keyboard cover, so you will still be able to see the keys lit up! I would recommend this to anyone.

I got this a couple of months ago to protect a brand new macbook pro13 . I am very particular about keeping my equipment in mint condition while using it as much as possible. The construction is very solid, it is a great fit, not bulky and so far it protected the top of my macbook from being scratched up!! I've been so happy with it, i just purchased another for my son's Macbook pro 15.

Well, the product fits perfectly on my MacBook Pro, every port and DVD drive are completely usable, the small stands in the back give it a nice angle to work, and you can leave them flat if you want. The screen tilts almost al the way back, just a couple millimeters less because of the shell, this is almost unnoticeable. Over all it looks great on it and gives it that scratch protection I was looking for. 5/5

NOTE: I read somewhere that the MagSafe plug didn't fit properly in both directions, but it fits perfectly on mine. Mid 2011 15inch MacBook Pro.

I would recommend this product!

This hard shell case is exactly what i was looking for, for an amazing price!

The case is a transparent red, and the iApple logo is still very bright and noticeable.

The 2 lightweight pieces snap right onto my 15-inch MacBook Pro and are very protective.

The bottom is designed great to keep the bottom from overheating and came set with 2 foldable feet to elevate the laptop like a keyboard.

Shipped right away with no problems.

I've had this case for years and it's protected my laptop from drops, falls, spills, you name it! My only tip would be to clean this like once every couple months or so. I never realized how much dust and stuff a case can trap, so cleaning it helps. The little tabs on the bottom are also very strong even though they don't look/feel like it. I've had this case for like 3 years and it's still doing the job. A+

Update: Not a fan anymore. Overtime this case added scratches to my laptop that I never noticed when I wrote my previous review. I took the bottom part off my laptop because of the scratches it was making on the sides. My laptop is pretty much broken now though anyway (from other problems, not the case) so I'm on the market for a new case and I don't think I'll be going with this
