I got these to bind my portfolio together, and they work fine for that. Just be aware that the aluminum is a touch on the soft side. While it provides for nice, lightweight binding for books, it's easy to ding up the screw head while screwing it in with a flat head screwdriver. The screw head itself is also somewhat flat, which makes it easier for a flat head screwdriver to slip. If you're truly going for an industrial feel to your binding, the aluminum isn't the best choice - it won't feel like a normal screw. As a lightweight and easy binding, though, it works just fine.

Makes your screenplay pop. Someone suggested not using these for screenplays written on spec, but I think they give it an authentic look. I have a problem getting them screwed together without them locking and went through 3 pairs before I could get one copy of my screenplay secured. Still, for the price they are better looking and more secure than using metal brads. Have a flathead screwdriver handy.
