These neoprene cases are very basic, but they do cushion your reels adequately and are worth the very modest cost. Be aware in ordering that the "small" is really small and will not accommodate even say an Okuma SLV 2/3. If in doubt, go a size larger.

This pouch, along with all other neoprene pouches/covers/cases I've purchased are all undersized. I have mostly reels for 5/6 weight fly rods and every case marked for 5/6 reels is always too small to even close the velcro tab over the reel. I think these companies need to better research the average product dimensions of the average reels out there. I think the swith towards large arbor reels may have something to do with this. Order the next size up if you want it to fit at all.

Crystal River Neoprene pouch came quickly and well-packaged. Product is very basic and though it was a medium and fit my 3.5" reel, I had difficulty with the crank knob fitting anywhere. There is no hole or place for the crank knob, so it just became a bulge in the case making it seem smaller than 3.5" in reality. I ended up punching a small hole in the case so the small crank knob on the reel would stick out. Doesn't completely enclose the reel, but it keeps things neater and more protected. Very basic product and it could be improved for a better fit. Definitely would prefer something larger, but medium was the largest size available on amazon.

This is a no-frills reel case, and provides pretty decent padding. As other reviewers said, it is a tad on the small side. This case fits very tightly over my 5/6 reel, but it does fit since neoprene stretches quite a bit.

Overall, it works as advertised and is a pretty low-cost solution to protect your reels.

My 5-weight outfit's reel measures 3-1/8" and this pouch doesn't fit. The product description says 3" and I can tell you that there is no wiggle room in that 3" claim. If your reel measures less than 3", so much the better. Seems well made and I wish that I'd paid more attention to the 3" figure rather than the claim of "Medium" size.

Not nearly as large as it says, my reel is 1.5" diameter, had to jurry-rig it to make it fit. I guess it is true what they say, you get what you pay for.
