For Father's Day my kids pooled together and bought me a 50" TV of my dreams and I immediately went out and got a 50' Cat 6 cable from Best Buy. Total cost with tax: $46. I could have gone wireless but I just am not a wireless at the house kind of guy and 50' was a bit too much so I looked for alternatives once I had internet TV and movies up and running.

I chose this particular brand because it was black, looked substantial and was the right length for what I wanted. It actually cost a couple/three bucks more than the blue cable but I wanted black. Under $13 with tax. Thirty seconds to hook it up, a few more to put the cable along the carpet edge and I was back in business. No issues, works great.

The $46 went back in my pocket the next day. I spent $13 on Amazon.This is yet another example of Best Buy being the showroom for Amazon.

This cord arrived on time and was in new condition upon arrival. Was able to roll it out quickly and start pulling the cable from my router to my tv via basement interstice space. High speed, no lag...works great for Internet and 3D tv high data requirements. Good quality cable.

I wanted to get a better cable run from my Roku box to my network switch / wireless router, and to hardwire the TIVO instead of using wireless. Since this was in my living room, I didn't want any bright colored, tangled cables. I like the off-white color of these cables.

I've bought StarTech cables in the past, and like the soft feel, and the way they lay straight and don't twist or stay bent.

I bought Cat 6 grade because that's the fastest, for Gigabit Ethernet. Not that the old TIVO HD is anywhere near that fast, but might as well plan for the future for the extra buck or two, as home networking will get faster.

Price is much less than they would be at Best Buy, and the quality is better.

Quality cable, great price.

Unfortunately I had to return this cable. It was too stiff and rigid to tuck in neatly around my door frame. It's very good quality but if you need to curve it around angles or door frames you might want to stick with a softer Cat5e like I had to do.

Speeds seem fine to me. I'm actually running this from my wireless router to the wall, coupled through the basement, then coupled again for 125 ft to the pool shed to another wireless router. 25 mbps still out there on speedtest. All cords were Cat6 from StarTech. good seller and product.

I used 6 of these in a 4 bedroom house I put a hub in the attic and dropped a line into each closet. I have found when gaming Wireless doesn't keep up! Games like Second life have so much data that wireless is too busy talking to itself to keep up. Run a hard network and watch it FLY. Great cable! 5 stars!
