I picked this up for my 8 year old daughter because I liked the idea of not having to download songs to her iPod all the time. This seemed like a good idea, something she can take on the go without having to worry too much if it gets broken. She LOVES it! It only takes one battery and is very easy to use. The songs that come with this purchase are all radio friendly. It's very small and the earphones are good quality. I am very happy with this purchase. It was cheap (on sale), easy to use for an 8 year old and hours of music that comes with it for free. You can also buy additional music cards, but I'll let her memorize these 500 free songs first. Rockin' gift for a rockin' 8 year old girl who knows how to dance like a monkey and this thing doesn't get in her way! 5 stars all the way.

Just kidding. I got out a long time ago. This player is excellent, lacking only the title screen of the more expensive models. The younger demographic will enjoy the included card, Woodstock types may best consider it a re-education. The other slotradio cards are much better. Still a very good deal, if you don't miss playlists, etc.
