I have four sons ages 4-9. Needless to say "That's mine!!!" is a phrase I hear a lot. This safe (I've bought several) has helped some of that and given them a place to put their most treasured things.

Parents don't worry. There is an "emergency" button if you (or your child) needs in. It is located in the battery compartment (which you have to have screwdriver to get to).

We liked it so much - we've bought others!

It's kind of annoying to parents, but my son loves it. Bought it to replace a bank he broke. He loves the fact that he has a secret code and that the machine has an alarm if you don't know the code. Only improvement would be a drawer for coins (we use a plastic food container that fits inside)as there's really no way to secure loose change.

My 10 year old received this and is enjoying setting his code and keeping his "valuables" away from his brother and sister! It is a good size with a movable shelf, moderately durable, and holds small items well. Overall, I would recommend this product!

My son (age 11) wanted a safe that wasn't just a toy for kids. He likes to save money and he likes keeping his items safe. It has a shelf inside (that catches coins you drop in the top. You can change your secret code whenever you like. It's plastic, but durable so far (we've had it for a few months).

This safe is great. I tried to find something for my son so he could keep HIS treasures in. The world is full of ballerina boxes, coin purses and everything for girls but nothing for Boys!! So, the safe. It is a great buy. He has to remember his code. Loves punching it in and it is driving his 7 year old sister CRAZY that she doesn't know the code!! Too funny... She finally bribed him into telling her the code with a silver dollar and then we changed the code again. It is durable, cute and really has given my son his own sense of ownership and space. Good buy!!
