These are made of a mild grade aluminum. They do cover a wide variety of hole & thread sizes. Most of the normal hardware & household sizes are covered. Very small hobby sizes are not.

The design makes it easy to evaluate any screw or bolt you may run across. However, these will not help you gauge inside threads on a tapped hole or nut.

I was a little disappointed with the gauge of the aluminum, as I don't expect these will take much abuse, and will need to be stored in a protective pouch. They are very light weight, and overall, I am happy with the value.

Just what the doctor ordered. Has the most commonly used thread pitch and bolt size that you would use. Came in a cardboard mailer that I use as the storage container, but would like it to come in a dedicated container like a CD comes in. Did I mention how inexpensive it is? Good product.

These are only stamped out of thin sheet aluminum. I thought they would be thicker with the holes threaded. Descriptions of many items on Amazon are not what they should be.
