How can I say that these are better than live crickets? Well . . .

1. They will keep in your tackle box forever. So you are always ready to fish.
2. Fish hold on to them longer than live bait. So you have more time to set the hook.
3. They stay on the hook when you catch a fish. So you can continue to use the same bait, fish after fish.

These worked better for me than the Gulp Alive worms.

I live on a fresh water lake in Florida. Here, bream, shell crackers, blue gill and the like, love live crickets. This is a great substitute. The fish love it. Gulp baits is the best thing to hit the lure market in a long time. Give it a try.

These worked like a charm. I didn't have live crickets to compare them to, but I can say that I have never caught the fish at my Grandpa's pond as quickly with live crickets as I did with these. It was bluegill after bluegill after bluegill. In fact, when I started fishing, it took maybe 45 seconds after I cast out that I already had a fish on the hook. Reeled the little bluegill in and was very pleased to see the cricket lure still usable. I readjusted it to cover the hook a little better and cast out again, and within 5 seconds of the line hitting the water, my bobber was underwater and I had a young largemouth bass on the hook.

The only downsides I noticed was that it seemed like the crickets were pretty torn up after catching 5 fish, and the scent on them seemed to wear off after about 30 minutes in the water. To cure the scent issue, I just dropped them back in the jar of liquid and they would start working again.

The fish go crazy for these. I love using these better than the real thing any day. I can catch about 8-10 fish before having to replace my bait, and my son and daughter love them because we can go catch & release fishing, and do no harm to any living thing in the process. I used the real thing growing up, but I wasn't a self proclaimed vegetarian at 4 yrs old either.

Even if you don't have little ones who want to throw them back, these work great, as the cost and hassle of real crickets out way the cost of these per fish caught! You won't be sorry for using the Gulp products. I'm never looking back!

I bought some of these so I wouldn't have to use live bait when taking my 5-year-old niece out fishing for the first time. She caught 7 bluegill in about 45 minutes. Now, I keep them around for slow days when nothing else is working and I haven't been disappointed yet.

I saw uncle steve use this and it worked! I had some shipped back to Arkansas for a vacation I had planned. I wanted to see if this would work for my Mom as I am trying to get her fishing after she retires and she does not like to touch live bait...

Well, every cast I got hits! The bream (bluegill and other panfish) as well as bass, catfish all were interested in the bait.. usually it was one hit and they backed off where as live bait they would hit till it was gone.. So... Does it work... YEP. Just set he hook or they will see if it is not live... or be slow to hit again.
