Once assembled, you can't variate the height of the chair. The screwes have no head so that you can twist or untwist to lower or increase height. That is a bummer, since I thought it would be possible so that the chair can be used by more than one student.

Also, the chair is heavy. If you're not a man in good shape, you'll find yourself struggling on its handling. It is definitely not a chair to have in big amounts, since it would be too much of a hassle to transport.

The stool is sturdy and not too hard to assemble. Very frail people may need help assembling it or moving it around, because it is heavy.
