My 2 elderly cats have Miliary dermatitis and were receiving antibiotics and cortisone shots. The antibiotics didn't work the cortisone shots did.
Cortisone is hard on their livers so I was looking for an alternative and found this product. Within two weeks both cats were better. When I started
cutting back on the dose for Buddy his dermatitis started to return so I'm keeping his dose at an optimum and Oliver's at a minimum and they are doing
great. The cortisone shots were $18 per cat per treatment which was every three to four weeks. I'm on my third bottle of DERMA-iONX which they started on it April 20th. You can do the math and I feel I am protecting their fragile systems. I recommend using an eyedropper to dose them not to put it in water to be sure they are getting the full amount. In the beginning of their treatment I also applied it directly to their scabs. The medicine is sensitive to electromagnetic fields due the ionization process they use so I keep it away from electronic devices as to not dilute it's effectiveness.
I would give this product 5 stars but I do feel it is overpriced. But the health of Buddy and Oliver is more important to me. Proof of Buddy's liver being compromised when receiving the cortisone shots was his black coat started turning brown which is a sign of liver issues. His undercoat is now turning black again. On a lighter note he looks like he's had a bad dye job. Smile.

I purchased this product a couple of years ago for my bulldog when she was going through horrible skin allergies. After three rounds of antibiotics with no improvement (actually go worse), I took her off of them and started her on this stuff. I had to give it at least two weeks to start showing improvements. A month later she was back to her normal self. It takes time and patience. You also have to continue to give this to your animal even after the skin problem has gone away. It's preventative and it helps keep a healthy skin balance, so another outbreak does not occur. I believe in this product. I am purchasing it again for my sister's boxer who has been battling an autoimune disorder for 6 months. Has horrible skin allergies, and the vet has given my sister little hope to recover from it. He was even preparing her for the worst. I told her that this WILL NOT happen, and we will get the dog well again. I will post another review again to keep those posted on the results after using this product again.

NOTE: It is best to purchase this product on the actual site [...] because you get more for your money. The shipping is the same on their site too. Did not purchase this on Amazon.

Some background information. We have a beautiful 5 year old grey tabby that has dermatitis from allergies. After many trips to the vet we still do not know the cause of the allergic reactions. She has been on vet prescribed hypoallergenic food, we changed all of our household cleaning products to natural products, etc... She is on monthly flea control as well. The vet said that even though she is on flea control, one flea bite and still cause the reaction....great. She is an indoor/outdoor under supervision cat. She had been on steroid treatments which seemed to help for the short term but once she went off of it, the itching, gnawing, and bald patches returned. Also, while she was on steroids her disposition changed significantly. She tolerated the steroids well but she was extremely moody - growling, hissing, biting, huge appetite and weigh gain.. to say the least.
My husband researched this product and we decided to try it. I can't say it has completely cleared up her problem but I can say it has improved her situation. We decided to forego the steroids for awhile to see what happened with her moods. It has been 6 weeks since she is off of steroids and her mood has improved as has her weight. She is happier and her coat is so soft since we started her on this product. Her itchiness has subsided but it is still there. I just ordered more as I do think it takes time for products to run their course and be helpful. I am just grateful that she has responded and seems more comfortable. She also allows me to spray this on the affected area. We tried other "hot spot" treatments and it really upset her and when she licked it off she would foam at the mouth...not good. I believe this product is much better to spray on the areas affected vs. others and she is fine with it. Thank you Derma-iONx!

Used product as written on instructions. No change so far still has same amount of skin problems. Took dog to vet gave antibiotics and prednizone and is now making a noticeable improvement to her skin allergys. Your product did not make the slightest difference on our dog. My opinion, it doesn't work don't waste the money on this product.
