While these pellets are marketed to people with young rabbits, the pellets are also a good supplement for people needing to help underweight adult pet rabbits. We have an angora rescue who sometimes gets on the verge of being a bit too skinny for her own good. Angoras devote a lot of their calories to fur production, and need a little extra food to stay in good shape. She is also a bit timid about everything, including eating, having come from an abusive home, but she gobbles up the alfalfa pellets with enthusiasm.

Just be aware that alfalfa has a lot of calcium, which *may* contribute to sludge and urinary tract/kidney issues (the literature is far from conclusive, though). Also, pellets, compared to fresh food, tend to be very high in salt, so make sure you keep your rabbit hydrated. I would not recommend these or any pellets as the only source of food, but if you have a rabbit who's not enthusiastic about food, or needs a little extra food to keep on its weight, these are wonderful.

The bunnies like the food, but I didn't realize how small the 5 pound bag would be.
Local store sells a bag for $14. I couldn't remember the size when I ordered, but I assumed this would be the same size since the price was almost the same.
Nope. Next time I won't be so lazy. The bag at the pet store was 10 pounds. double the food for the same price.
