I was looking for another first aid product when this popped up in the Amazon suggestions. After reading the reviews, I ordered it on a whim. It sat in the medicine cabinet for a couple of months - until night before last, when I burned my hand while cooking with hot oil. I shoved the hand in some cold water for 5-10 minutes, then remebered I had this Chinese burn cream in my cabinet. Got it out, slathered some on. It's messy and smells like pungent peanut oil. But I covered the area with a very light layer of gauze. WIthin a short time it stopped hurting. By bedtime, I could see some small blisters had formed and the area was typically red and a little puffy, but there was plenty of ointment still on it, so I left it lightly wrapped and went to bed. The next morning the blistering and redness were nearly gone. Now a day later and it is completely healed!

This is hands down the best burn cream around. I've been using this for almost 20 years now, and have never found a burn salve that works like this. Not sure how they do it, but it's like instant magic on burns. The old versions did not include menthol, which I prefer to the current one now with menthol, but this has not seemed to reduce its healing properties.

Here is the list of "indications" for use of this medical ointment:

Use topically for first, second, and third degree burns with blistering, redness and pain. Also for sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, external hemorrhoids and festering sores including bedsores and boils. Useful in pediatric eczema.

I keep a tube in the kitchen and two in my first aid kit.
Next time, I'll get a jar.

I cloth diaper my daughters, but one of them has super sensitive skin and gets ammonia burns rather easily, if not changed immediately after a BM. I've tried all kinds of treatments (oatmeal bath, Vaseline), but none of them took away the pain as quickly as this ointment. Within two days the burns healed and scars disappeared! I'm always going to keep this in stock, there's nothing worse than seeing tears of pain during diaper changes.

We always keep a tube in our kitchen and it works wonders on those annoying stove burns. A quick swipe of the balm and not only is the pain gone, but the next day you're virtually mark free. Best small burn balm on the market!

This is by far the most amazing burn cream there is. It works quickly on the pain and stops blistering in its tracks. This cream should absolutely be a staple in every medicine cabinet. It does have a smell, though I don't find it offensive as others do because it is basically from the sesame oil. It can stain and it a little greasy, so you will want to loosely cover with something, but it is worth it. I can not recommend this product enough.
