Very narrow (good if you have narrow feet). Quick release buckle excellent! Squashy footbed bad!

I got in one shipment all in size mens size 11:

Teva Obern 11
Teva Toachi 11
Teva Katavi 11
Teva Hurricane 11

Toachi - of the four all in Mens 11 these were the ones completely different from the rest. The sole had a strange tread design (see photos) which looked like it would track a huge amount of mud/dirt and be hard to clean out. The foot bed and platform was extremely narrow for me and did not even fit my whole foot on it (see photos). The foot bed as exceedingly spongy and squished and squashed so much when I walked in them that it was disconcerting and made my toes rub on the front strap.

The one extremely good and in fact wonderful difference in the Toachi was the quick release buckle on the center strap. I wish the others had this feature. It meant that I could adjust them for the best fit, and then not touch the velcro again and only use the quick release buckle to get in and out. That was tremendously convenient. I only wished they had fit me better and had a normal foot bed - for this feature alone was a huge huge plus compared to the others.

I rate them pretty low, because of the squashy footbed and tread design, but if you have a narrow foot and the sandals fit you that in combination might make them a 5 star sandal.

Best Teva sandal yet!

I've been wearing Teva's for quite a few years now, and have always preferred them over other brands. I ordered the Toachi 2 without ever seeing them, or trying them on, as a replacement for my aged\shot older pair from 5+ years ago.

I am VERY happy with these sandals. The fit is true to size, I'm a mens 12, and the comofort\strap system is fantastic. I wore them all day on an "urban hike" a day after getting them, and at the end of day, there was not a rub mark or abrasion to be found on my feet. The foot bed is very supportive, and the cushioning is perfect.

Can't say much more, other than I'd rate them 10 stars if that was an available option. If you have owned and loved Teva sandals in the past, you really can't go wrong with these!

fantastic sandals

Great sandals. They are adjustable in three places: over the for-foot, over the ankle, and the back of the foot above the heel. Construction is rugged and tough. Ankle strap has a quick release clip, so I do not have to un-velcro and re-velcro. The straps are cushioned underneath, where they touch the foot, so there is no chaffing or blisters, no rubbed skin at all, even on the very first wear. The best part is the sole and foot bed. Incredibly comfortable, it feels like a tiny bounce when I run, but still very supportive. I feel as if I retain much of the muscle movement possible when barefoot, but with a cushioned sole beneath me.
These work particularly well for me since, due to a medical condition, one foot is taller near the for-foot/ball. I can adjust each sandal to fit each foot perfectly.

Comfortable, but very narrow...

Amazon delivered very timely, actually quicker than expected. Sandals are very comfortable in the sole, etc. However, the fit was very narrow & compared with previous Tevas, the narrowness was very apparent. Buying longer sandals does not compensate for the narrowness; the ball of your foot & your toes will not land or bend properly. The quality of the sandals are good, but the business decision to save on material for wider feet is shameful. If you have narrow feet, this would be a good purchase. But if you have wide feet & are looking for a comfortable sport sandal for walking, hiking or jogging look elsewhere.

Made for Narrow feet

I bought these because I had an older version of the same, with the handy clip closure. Purchased the same size as my old ones.
However, this newer version has a much narrower tread, and the tip is more pointed which shaves off even more width at the front.
If your feet are on the wide-side of medium(D) don't buy these.

Excellent except for the strap chafes

Bought the pair of shoes a year and a half ago. They feel very comfortable, not too heavy, and they are quite useful in wet situations, never slippery, always sticky. Their only cons is the strap chafes. They are made of a flimsy plastic, have a dubious purpose in addition to the velcro, and are far from being durable. One of them came a bit loose after a very short time (although this is not noticeable while the shoes are on feet). The piece of textile by which they are attached to the shoe is also of dubious quality, mine got broken after a year and a half. Of course, I used them in a lot of situations from climbing to canoeing, but I would have expected a bit more from this kind of shoes. I noticed that the strap on the other shoe is also half broken.

Great Tivas

I bought these Tivas just before a trip to Cabo San Lucas and found them comfortable and stylish. I could wear them walking the beach during the day and still they would look good for going to dinner. Well constructed I expect years of good service.
