The first one I ordered didn't fit, and Amazon sent me another really fast. It fits my Garmin GPSmap 62s perfectly. I'm happy with it so far, but haven't taken it out in the field yet. It does provide a better grip, and of course will offer some protection to the unit. I'm wondering how long the plastic window will hold up without getting so scratched up I can't see the screen through it. But so far I like it a lot. It seems to be very well made.

The case does fit very nicely, but I don't like how I have to take the clip off the back of the GPS in order to remove it from the case. Sometimes, it's just easier to read the screen without the case on it, and it would be nice if I could just slip it out easily without having to take the clip off the back. Of course, I could just not use the clip, but there is no other place to attach a carbiner to hang this off my belt or pack. Other than that, the case is just fine.

The case fits great, and has a nice secure feel to it. However, the reason for the low rating... When the order was placed, there was no information on the page stating that it wouldn't work for the models with a camera. As other reviews mentioned, you do have to remove the clip to get it in the case, but I feel this makes it even more secure in the case, as the case won't just slip off, and even if the velco did come loose, it would still stay on the case.

Bought this for my new Garmin 62s. I found the quality to be very good and the stitching is good, too. The acetate window on the face does hinder the view of the screen a bit, but that is to be expected. This case is to keep the unit clean and dry, but isn't made to make it easier.

But I did find that this case is very tight. In fact, the velcro closure barely grabs onto itself. Its not like it will fall out, because its in pretty good and the back loop with caribiner keeps it secure in its case.

All in all, this is worth the $15 I paid. A must to keep it clean and scratch-free, even if only in storage or in your backpack.

I didn't think I would like pushing buttons through a piece of plastic--and I was right. I would rather have a case for protecting the GPS unit when I'm hiking or for storage. When using the GPS I want a minimum between me and the unit. I have big fingers and found that I did not feel the plastic-covered buttons as well I I would like. Also, the plastic over the screen area adds a reflective surface that does not stay flat. This causes various rippled reflections when trying to get the light angle right for best screen visibility in bright daylight.

This case is pretty much meant to be a permanent home for the GPS. It seems constructed well enough, and affords a good level of protection--but at the cost of making the GPS more difficult (for me) to use. There are better ways to go.

This high-quality custom-fitting case is perfectly designed for the Garmin 62S. The GPS unit easily slips into it from the top and although snug, all of the seams and the position of the clear plastic screen and keyboard cover are in exactly the right places. A simple velcro strap on top of the unit secures it, it is not coming off until you want it to. Great rain and dust protection, improves your grip on the GPS unit, feels great in the hand. Highly recommended.

I bought this for the original GPSMAP 62 after looking at other cases and without the unit itself arriving. After working with the GPS for a few days, I firmly believe that anything further is unnecessary for protection. The unit itself is very robust and water resistant. This provides another thin layer of drop protection and serves as a screen protector.

The only negative, and it's small and could possibly work itself out with use, is when you push buttons it makes a little squeaky noise. I don't know if this is from the plastic meeting the buttons or in the seam between the plastic and neoprene. Unless you're in a tactical/hunting environment it probably wouldn't even be an issue.
