Come my chinchilla's bath time, I cannot imagine it without using this superior product as most chin insiders will state. It is very soft, very fine and chinchillas love it.

And it is safe. Many dusts sold for chinchillas are not. They are scented (not natural for a chin) and simply made of outdoor sand. The best chin dusts are made of ground pumice stone.

This particular chin dust comes highly recommended by long-time chin owners like myself who have been caring for these delightful crepuscular rodents coming on 18 years now. My chin, Danny Boy, loves it (see my Profile for a glimpse of him) and has a marvelous time rolling around in it. Inside a good plastic chin bath house, it doesn't fly around everywhere, and it is easy to maintain and store.

I cannot imagine using any other chinchilla dust. In fact, it will never happen!

I purchased Blue Cloud dust after initially using the dust offered at Petsmart/Petco for a few months. The difference between these two types of dust were pretty significant. My chinchillas' fur looked much cleaner and shinier after using Blue Cloud, even for the first time, and Blue Cloud dust caused me to cough much less than the last dust I used. I'd recommend using this dust both for your chinchilla's fur and for your lungs!

My chinchilla loves this stuff. It came with very high recommendations, and as I've never tried another brand, I have nothing to compare it to. Aside from my inexperience with other products, this product is a treat for my chinchilla. He gets into it immediately when I put it out for him and sometimes it's hard to get him out! It keeps his coat looking great, and he seems to love it, so I'd say it's a good buy.

Blue cloud dust is the best you can get for your chin. It's very, very fine and not sand-like at all. My chin had a problem where sand from regular dust would scratch her cornea and leave her with eye problems. It also makes her coat so downy and she would roll in it all day if I would let her. It's worth the few extra bucks; she loves it, I love it, we all love it. And it's easier cleaning to boot. What more can we ask for? :)

My chinchilla always feels so soft after using Lixit's Blue Cloud Dust. I don't know if my chinchilla noticed the difference when I switched brands because he likes to roll in the dust regardless of brand but I have noticed a difference. Other brands felt gritty and left a residue on his fur but He always feels soft to the touch after using the Blue Cloud Dust. I've been using this brand for about six months and I will stick with it for the foreseeable future. I put a little bit less dust in my chinchillas bath house then the container recommends but I feel like I am throwing less dust away when I clean it out because he has pooped in there.

The chinchillas love to roll in this dust. But then they love to roll in any kind of dust.

This dust seems better to me than some other bulk dust I tried. The chinchillas look cleaner.

The other dust seemed to leave a coating on them that this one doesn't. I was concerned that the coating was getting in their eyes, nose and mouth, so I buy this now.
