Pros:
- Holds the tanks securely

Cons:
- The heavy steel strap fatigues and breaks at the spot weld
- Hard to compress and engage the cinch bolt

I have this same rack in my RV, until it failed it held the tank securely. The heavy gauge loop strap (~1/16") is just mild steel, not spring steel. The ends need to be spread apart about one foot to get the tank inside the loop. Doing so causes the steel to bend, not flex, at the spot weld. After so many bend cycles it fatigues and breaks.

This same bending makes getting the bolt through the two ends very difficult, especially starting the nut while holding the two ends together.

Perhaps this rack was designed to have the tank inserted vertically, not possible in my RV.

Well built and easy to use. Only problem with it was the holder on the bottom doesn't come out far enough to grab any of the propane tanks we have used (we just get the tanks at local gas stations or home improvement centers or wherever they sell pre-bottled propane). We had to take a wrench and bend the bottom in so it could reach the ridge on the bottom of the tanks and hold them up. Once we did this, it worked fine.

This can have some significant movement to it so think about how you mount it. It has (2) 1/4" holes drilled in the center rail for mounting. If it had even a 4" cross piece, it would stabilize this quite a bit.

Also, most carriage bolts have a square shoulder to them and won't fit all the way down. Having square holes would be a way of giving this a bit better finish.
