I remember the first time I ate Walkers Shortbread biscuits I was eight years old during the festive holidays in December. I thought to myself what light and well tasted biscuits, and I was sad when the box was finished. I was very happy when years later they started to offer Walkers Shortbread biscuit in the cookie cans. Although a very expensive delicacy, people tend to overlook the price for this old favorite and popular biscuit/cookie. I have been eating Walker Shortbread biscuits/cookies for many years, always a family favorite.

I love the fact that it is light, not too much sodium, sugar, cholesterol, and specialized for vegetarians and certified Kosher. The only problem I find with these biscuits, you "can't stop after eating just one." Every time I order these biscuits/cookies, as soon as I open them well you know….."ten minutes later" the box is empty. I like the fact that you have a variety selection of different Walkers Shortbread biscuits/cookies on the Amazon website. A favorite of many, originating from Scotland, part of the U.K., and through the popular historical story of Mary Queen of Scotts, who started eating shortbread biscuits naming the variety she was eating, “Shortbread Petticoats.”

Many Europeans love this biscuit, as I am sure other people also do as well from all over the world. They have a vast selection, in packages, cookie cans, and other types of variations; Shortbread Fingers, Pure Butter, Highlanders, Rounds, Lemon Thins, Stem Ginger, Triangles, and Petticoat Shortbread Cookies. Their variety of different types of shortbread cookies is tremendous, and the taste is great

In case the tartan packaging didn't give it away, these shortbread biscuits (or "cookies" in the U.S.) are Scottish. Without going all "cooking show" on you, I will say that true "shortbread" is very specific: Flour, butter, sugar, and a little salt, in this instance baked to the perfect companion for a cup of tea or coffee.

The Walkers Company makes quite a range of products, but they built their reputation on biscuits just like these.

If you are already familiar with these, I'll say that they are exactly what you expect: Snappy & crumbly at the same time, rich with butter and baked to perfection. If you're considering trying them for the first time, I highly recommend them, but be warned, they're going to ruin you for the lessor quality versions!

These are simply divine. The pure butter ... yum. You have butter fingers after eating these! Really thick and crunchy. The best shortbread cookie I have eaten- But they are SUPER pricey. You get six cookies for 4.00, .65 a piece! My BFF
lives and is a native of Scotland, and has sent these to me in tins. She said it would less expensive to buy there and ship to me! I don't know about that, but these are a treat in our house and for friends over for tea and coffee.

These shortbread cookies are so good the only problem I have with them is that there aren't more in the box!! They are by far the best I've ever tried.

There are only a few ingredients and nothing bad - I am on a very restricted diet due to a medical condition and can eat these because they only have a couple "real" ingredients like flour, butter and sugar - no preservatives or artificial flavorings. Wish all packaged cookies were made this way!
