They fit perfectly and are very comfortable.
So that's why I chose "fits as expected.
and after reading three reviews here that said that these shoes were perfect for that, I decided to get a pair.

Product Description

You'll love performing in Sansha's Salsette 1. The jazz sneaker features a mesh upper for comfort and breathability, laces for a custom fit, and a suede sole to help you glide easier.

In 1982, Franck Raoul-Duval, a 25-year-old Frenchman with a passion for dance and Russian history, created a new type of ballet shoe. After numerous trials and adjustments, he came up with an innovation that changed the lives of dancers everywhere. The split-sole ballet slipper, with its glove-like fit, was born. Sansha now manufactures an extensive range of dance shoes for everything from ballet to jazz, hip-hop to flamenco, and ballroom to tap. Sansha collaborates with dance professionals, teachers and store owners to remain a prominent brand in the dance capitals of the world.

    Size: 14 Sansha (12 M US Women's/9 M US Men's)Color: Black Verified Purchase
Very light weight, durable (lasted 2 years when used 2 times a week for 1 hour practice), comfortable.
Used for salsa classes (beginner/intermediate), wood floor mostly, sometimes plastic - I'd say these provide good balance of spin "promotion" vs. "stability control".
The "wear mode" was a loss of shape of the heel (I'm a heavy guy), the rest of the shoe including the soles could go further.
    Replaced with the same model.
A little disappointed with the fact that when we (both me and my wife) bought replacement shoes of Exactly the size we've been wearing for a while - had to re-order both as this same size felt too small, both ordered +1 size for comfort. But this is just a minor inconvenience, overall very happy with the product.
Did not find a better product for practice use for this price.

    For reference:
My wife wears ladies street size 8 (sometimes 8.5), first 2 years had Salsette 9, this year had to buy 10 to fit comfortably
I wear street 10.5 wide or 11 regular, first 2 years was wearing Salsette 15, this year had to buy 16

First I ordered these in all black (because the cute purple ones weren't available in anything close to my size.) My street shoe size is almost always an 8.5, though a few brands vary up or down a half size. Using the provided Sansha size chart, I ordered a size 10 (which says ladies 8.5), and it was too small--just snug enough that I couldn't have tolerated dancing in them long enough to try to break them in. I returned those and went ahead the same day and ordered the red ones in the next size up (because by then the black ones were also sold out.) I really needed shoes with some slide for my new Zumba workouts, which are impossible in my Sketchers and awkward (and uncomfortable) in bare feet. The box arrived right on time--smelling like mold and containing raggedy-looking men's bedroom slippers in a torn and dirty plastic bag with the Sansha logo. As always, Amazon was quick to set it right and process a refund--and inform me that the red ones are now also sold out. So I still have no dance shoes. I've looked on several different sites for these shoes, and each site gives different sizing advice--everything from "true to size" to "order 3 sizes up from street shoe." Other, nearly identical, Sansha styles give completely different sizing instructions, and the reviews are all over the place in regards to fit. Since all their sizing charts are different for similar styles from the same company, I feel like I can't trust any of them--and I'm loathe to keep guessing and having to go through the hassle of repeated returns.

Strictly speaking of the product itself, I think they're decent little shoes (the actual ones that I ordered, not the nasty men's slippers) that would suit my needs. The suede sole pad gives a nice balance between slide and stability.

Anyone who does Zumba on the carpet knows that regular sneakers just will not allow you to move with ease across carpet. These shoes are light and flexible...and allow you to turn, pivot, and slide easily so you can focus on grooving to the music!

I normally wear a size 10 shoe; bought these in a 13 and they fit well. (They are for indoor use only.)

I got the solid black shoe in a size 11. I am a 9.5 in sneakers and they fit perfect! i was worried after reading everyone saying GO TWO SIZES UP, but they were out of the 12. When i got the shoes the box was severely damaged but the product was in good shape. I think the sizing makes the biggest difference if you have wide feet or narrow feet. 1 to 1.5 sizes up if your feet are narrow and 2 fulls sizes up if you have a wider foot.

I love doing Zumba at home, but the carpet made it extremely frustrating - even in my lateral-friendly basketball sneakers that are perfect for Zumba at the gym. I tore a ligament six months ago in my knee, and to this day lateral movements on carpet make this same knee joint ache. I just got my pair today, and these are perfect. No more knee worries!

I am normally between an 8 and a half and a 9, depending on the shoe brand. I got size 11 and they are great. However, if I was a real dancer performing ballet style moves the little gap at the end of the toe area would be problematic. But for my purposes, they are perfect, as that does not affect me. I put some sports insoles in mine to help with the impact, so my sizing was dead on.

To be clear, these shoes are great for Zumba on carpet, but I do not recommend trying to do Zumba in these on other surfaces. (I realize real dancers use these on hard floors, so if you have great balance and control, go for it if you want.) I just think that they are too slippery for that.

These shoes look very well made and the sole was not as flimsy at all (like I was expecting) which was a plus. I have low arches so I did not have any issues with the lack of arch support.

If you are thinking about these shoes for carpet Zumba, do not hesitate to try them out. Sadly, my situation is not unique: many people are getting injured trying to Zumba on the carpet when their knees just cannot take it. The price is also nice! I was looking at other shoes that cost around 60!
