Bought this as a sink faucet. It might also work for the tub. It is taller and thicker than the standard lav faucet. Because of this feature, I love this product! It comes up nice and high so I can get my hands under it easily when I wash my face. I don't hit my toothbrush on the faucet, either, since it is high. It does not splash water out of the sink, if you were wondering about that. This product would be a great man's faucet, strictly from a size stand point. It is really pretty for those who like the finish, as I do. It is very easy to clean, just needs a quick wipe down. I haven't had any problems with water spotting and assume this is because of the finish. I am very pleased with the look and quality of this product. Yeah, it's a bit pricey especially if you have a double sink set up but, hey, you get what you pay for. This set is a beauty. You will not be disappointed.

Overall, this is a nice quality faucet. We did have some difficulty on the installation -- and opted not to follow the instruction sequencing. So, doing all the hose/handle connections first, before installing the drain, and keeping that area clear made things much easier.

Also, we have hard water in our area, and we're noticing water stains already building up around the bottom of the handles really fast. With the darker color of the faucet, these are much more noticeable, and it might be nice if the mfg. could put a surface coating that resisted the staining.

Sink fixtures were installed on Wednesday, used for two days before we went out of town. Came back home on Sunday and the finish is all discolored! There have been no products applied or used on them since they were installed! American Standard, how do you explain this sub-standard quality?
