Not sure where to begin... First, I gave it 5 Stars because Joe communicates quickly, gets the item to you quickly, makes these to the size you order, makes them to cover all four sides of the unit, uses a quality material that will last and finally, provides you with a strap to securely fasten the cover to the unit. So yes, I love it! Buy it, you'll like it too.

Oh yes, just a little hint - add an inch to the depth and height, and 2" to the width. Then while you wait for them to arrive, go to your big box hardware store and pick up some 3/4" to 1" , 4'x8" polystyrene insulation boards. Cut them to size (use a box cutter with a new sharp blade in it), and cover the top, both ends and back of the A/C unit with these boards (just run some cheap masking tape around it until you get the cover in place), then put your cover over it and you will have created a great insulation and sound barrier as well as having protected you A/C unit and stopped the wind from blowing through. The board is cheap - less than $15.00 for enough to do 3 window units.

I have a fairly heavy airconditioner weighing about 80 pounds and have found it quite a struggle to keep pulling it out, hauling it up to the attic, at the onset of winter, then putting it back in the window when the summer heat begins.

This last fall I purchased this item and was very pleased at the result, after I took the additional step of putting insulation in the surrounding window area. The migration of cold through the airconditioner housing into the room was minimal, buffered by the large volume of inert air within the body of the a/c.

The air conditioner cover was exactly as described and pictured. It fit very well around the air conditioner and it was easy to put the cover in place. We did not use the strap that was included to secure the cover. Instead my husband already had a back frame in place and he removed that easily, placed the cover and then replaced the frame to hold the cover in place.

Much better material than the thin one-year stuff I've seen in hardware stores. Looks like it will last for years. Got a custom size and it fit well--meaning it was oversized enough to allow for installation issues . I agree with those who say that the buckle can be confusing-- if you are not experienced with ties and binders. It worked for me. But I'm an experienced builder-mechanic : -) The copier photo needs a little more contrast, which could be done with a pencil outline. Look at the picture carefully, do it inside for practice and you will get it. The buckle and strap system is shipping box material but is better than the plastic buckles that break easily when you are out in the cold.

Overall, this product is a good value. For some reason I have not seen AC covers available at all in Lowes and Home Depot for a couple of years. This is a common problem that is not being addressed by the big stores--that are not run by hardware people. So again Amazon is connecting us with products we need.

You can do lots of damage to your air-conditioner not by rain getting in the unit but by the unit being subjected to continuous moisture. The cover must breath. This is the best of the covers, fits nicely and is breathable.
