I live in an apartment with a 6lb Yorkie, and have been frustrated with the training pads I've bought in the past on Amazon (most recently Gridlock Housebreaking Pet Training Pads - 100 Pack, Four Paws Wee-Wee Puppy Housebreaking Pads, 150-Pack and IRIS Neat 'n Dry Floor Protection and Training Pet Pads, Regular, 100 Count). It seems that the pads I've bought either:
1) Don't absorb liquid fast enough, and the dog ends up tracking it around the apartment, or
2) Liquid spreads out too far / quickly, requiring me to change the pad after only one or two uses

I've been trying to buy different brands, hoping to find one that strikes a good balance between the two issues, while still at a reasonable price. I'm happy to say that these pads are that solution! The liquid absorbs immediately, and without spreading out too far. And I'm able to leave a pad down for at least one or two days, with frequent use, before it fills up and needs to be changed. And most importantly, I can do so without it smelling AND without leaking.

If you have a larger dog your experience may vary, but for me, my search is over. Will be buying these going forward.

Ive been using this for Years now. but unfortunately my last couple boxes seems to fade in quality.
Heres my comparison:

Before:
Thickers, much absorbent and really is odor absorbent

Now:
Much thinner, still absorbent but I dont think its odor absorbing anymore.

Before I can say this is perfect. But now Im just using this maybe because im too lazy to try other brand. On the good side... this is still absorbent... If Im lazy I can leave this for about 2 days and still ok for my TOY POODLE , that is if im ok with the smell..

FOR TRAINING:
For house breaking, this i RECOMMEND this a lot... I personally think it has a smell that attracts dog cause my "untrained" dogs easily use this after just only a couple of tries.

And just because it is now thin, I would recommend using the PAD HOLDER (this are like plastic casing wherein you put your pads) just so it stays in place and holds more pee.

I've used a lot of brands of wee wee pads, and this is my favorite brand. I recently tried Nature's Miracle because I couldn't get Simple Solutions at my local Petco. I placed the pad on the garage floor which is slightly sloped, my dog used it right in the middle just as she's supposed to. The urine flowed right off the pad and streamed down the floor (no, the pad was not upside down).

I've never had this problem with Simple Solutions. The pads absorb, my dog can use them more than once, and they don't leak. They also seem to contain odor better than some other pads.

I'd have given it 5 stars, but I have one gripe. They changed the design of the pad a couple years ago, and since then, the urine spreads out more rather than being isolated to a small area. This means fewer uses per pad as my dog does not like to "go" in the same place twice. I'm not sure why they did this, because the pad was very absorbent before. It's still equally absorbent, I just have a picky dog. :-)

However, I have not had good results with SimpleSolution's recycled product. If the pad is on a slope, that one doesn't absorb right either. Also, when I unfold it, bits of dust fly everywhere. So I recommend going with this particular product - the normal white puppy training pads.

Absorbs well. Actually, out of all the pads listed, I have had the best luck with this one. I have two small dogs, paper trained. I put these down on the bathroom floor, and they far surpass any other item I have used to date, and I have tried them all!

I have been using these pads in XL for years. I tested many different pads and these were the best. Now the company has decided to go on the cheap and has completely changed the quality of the pads and kept the price the same. And these are very expensive pads. The pads are now about one third as thick, they have a cheap pale yellow plastic underneath. There doesn't seem to be any odor control any more because they really stink as soon as they're peed on. It's extremely difficult to tell the top of the pad from the bottom and several times I've had pee just laying on top and not absorbed as I had put the pad upside down. No, there's nothing wrong with my vision, it's just difficult to tell which side is which. the pads are folded really weirdly now and it takes much more time to unfold them and lay them down flat. The plastic edges are so thin that they immediately leak through to the floor if the dog hits the edge of the pad instead of the middle. Shame on you, Simple Solution! I was sent 8 packs of these "new" pads without any warning that they had completely changed them for the worse. I'm sure I'm not the only one complaining. I am now testing out other pads to see which one I will purchase in the future.

The pads work great. I have3 small dogs and they all use the pads while I am at work if they can not wait until I get home. They are big enough but since I have 3 dogs I spread out 3 of them and it is more than enough. These potty pads are absorbant and bigger than many of the other pads I have tried.
