I work at a computer and was looking for something to pad my elbow, similar to a mouse wrist rest pad, but larger. This bench accessory bag is what I was looking for. I got it filled and removed about 1/2 of the filling (it was quite plump), but I no longer get that pesky red, crackly, psoriasis skin from rubbing my elbow on a table 8 hours a day. It is odd I found it in a shooting supply store, but like my granddad told me, "Get the right tool for the job"

I don't know how to say how good I can shoot with these bags and a Caldwell rock junior rest. I am shooting steadier and much more accurate than I ever have. Get the Caldwell stuff, if you do your part it will too! My buddies had these and I was always using them, you won't be disappointed.

Caldwell makes good, attractive products, and this little cushion is certainly one of them. A shooter might prefer a less "puffy" cushion for the elbow, but this one is soft enough to work well in that role. It has the right amount of "give". It can also serve as a front rest if you should need a quick boost in elevation. I also use one of these bags to rest the lock of my percussion and flint rifles if I need to place them on a bench.

Caldwell is simply the quality leader in this line of shooting accessories. I've tried cheaper products and they are all what you'd expect... cheaper products, not as well thought out in design and offer less flexibility. This bag was more full than I'd like it to be, but better that then not full enough. A simple adjustment to the volume of filler and it was perfect. Highly recommended.

The bag is well constructed and packed full with sand. I purchased the bag to support the elbow on my shooting hand. The reason I gave it three stars is because it is only slightly softer than the hard surface of the shooting table. I removed some of the sand from the bag but the sand product locks together so well this change provided only slight improvement.

In closing if all you are looking for is a bag to support and raise the level of your shooting elbow this bag is great. If like me you are also looking for a softer surface for your elbow I think you should keep looking.

I got this bag to relace the terry cloth towel that I once used to alleviate the repetitive abrasion and bruising I get on my coronoid process (that bony protuberance at the bottom of the elbow). It makes a big difference in being able to prepare for an accurate shot when shooting high-recoiling rifles off the bench. But now I use it for everything, even my tack-driver .22s. I have even used it under my owl-ear bag as a rest for zeroing pistol sights. It is well made and looks like it will last for many years.
