I bought this because I was looking for a project guitar body and the price of this whole guitar shipped was less than a stripped body with nothing else.

First the bad stuff:

It is made in China. The Neck is thick with a flat radius (12-16") and the frets are medium wire where I prefer thin necks with jumbo fret wire. The nut is cheap plastic, but it is functional out of the box. I found a single fret that buzzed on the low E the rest are good for a medium action setup. Tone sounds like a cheap strat copy, but with a good amp or effect box running to your setup it will be plenty spanky, quacky and deep for most sounds you will need. Good pickups are plentiful if you really want to change them out.

The good stuff:

This guitar is eons ahead of the Synsonics that I started on 22 years ago and it cost less than half of what my first cheapy strat copy cost shipped all those years ago.

I was really surprised how smooth the tuners were on this guitar - no hangups or dead spots. Additionally, the body was immaculate with no paint issues or dings/scratches (this is really what I bought it for).

Setup was okay, but I will adjust it and the pickups when putting better quality thicker gauge strings to get it where it should be.

******Important*******
For first time buyers/players - look on youtube to learn how to adjust the string heights, pickup heights and adjust your truss rod. Setting up a strat style guitar will take a little while, but will make your life easier if you are just learning how to play! Most guitars are not set up perfectly out of the box! Do this before you discard your guitar and say it is worthless.
