I bought this pan specifically for making bars/brownies in. It was a toss-up between this one and USA Pans 9 x 13 Inch Aluminized Steel Rectangular Cake Pan with Americoat. I chose this one after the price of the other jumped up to $22 after being in my cart overnight. I received it last week and used it for the first time the night before last. This pan is everything they claim and more! The recipe I used called for a caramel sauce which I made from scratch and promptly poured in the pan with out waiting for it to cool. Only AFTER I put it in the oven did I remember I forgot to grease the pan! I could have kicked myself! (Yes the product details said non-stick but if you bake or cook often then you learn that "non-stick" doesn't always mean non-stick. ) After allowing my bars bars to cool completely I placed a cookie sheet over the pan, crossed my fingers and toes, said a quick prayer and flipped the whole thing over. After a couple of seconds and without even having to tap the bottom of the pan, I heard the thud of my bars hitting the cookie sheet. I slowly pulled the pan up and away and behold, a sight for sore eyes! My bars had slid out of the pan beautifully and in one piece! Amazing! The hot caramel had seeped through the bottom crust and yet it STILL DIDN'T STICK! I was able to cut them evenly without having to worry about scratching the pan. I hand washed it although it is dishwasher safe and it cleaned up very easily. I'm so glad I chose this pan! I will be buying another one and am recommending it to everyone! Buy This Pan! You wont't regret it!

I purchased this for our Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven and it fits inside perfectly! We use this little oven for almost all our cooking now and this pan is the perfect complement to round out my cooking and baking needs. I did not want to settle for an aluminum cake pan, partly due to reported links to increased incidents of Alzheimer's. I'm so glad I found this pan on Amazon! There is another version of this pan with a roasting tray. I did not purchase that version, because if I'm going to go all out and cook something that needs that type of pan, I'll be preparing it in our main oven. However, if that is something you are needing, I'd say go for it! Especially, if you have the Breville oven.

I got a few of this brand's baking ware and am impressed. Having read about the dangers of glass based bakeware, we changed over to Chicago Metallic this Thanksgiving. Everything we used them for turned out perfect. The stuffing for instance did not stick, yet had just the right amount of crustification needed for flavor. This feels like professional gear to me. Oh, and the price is very consumer friendly.

I bought two of these to replace some older cheap ones I had. I do a lot of baking and I have been using Chicago metallic bread pans (1 1.2 lb. size) and sheet pans for several years. these are as good as the bread and sheet pans and I have already used them many times with great results. I highly recommend these, and anything else Chicago metallic makes. They are stellar pans. Easy to clean, durable, heavy weight. I can't praise them highly enough.

A truely heavy duty pan. I was always sold on calphlon pans, but this is pretty impressive. I am not chef but i like nice kitchenwares. I needed a pan while my mine was out on loan. Not wanting to spend the big bucks for a potential one time use but still wanting a decent product, I found this. I am very happy. This is not going to be a one time use pan. The girl who's birthday cake itwas bought for isn't still with me but this pan will be here for years

After years of tolerating lightweight cheap aluminum (all that was available locally) I have become a Chicago Metallic fan because of product heft, durability and lasting performance. The Bake n Roast pops out cakes just like the aluminized steel muffin pan releases muffins. It is not used for roasting. Heat transfer is uniform. Browning is as it should be. Unless I drop a rock on it, it should last a life-time.
