I put this bulb into service the first week of August 2012. It lasted 98 days before it quit working. 98 days @ 11hrs average per day, this equals 1078 hours. As I understand it this bulb is supposed to have a life of several thousand hours. 1078 hour life is totally unacceptable.

For even illumination on an outside area this fits the bill. The 70 watt big brother was
undoubtedly an upgrade. I have used both size bulbs in similar housings. This does a fine job but the 70 watt size
made my nighttime front porch stand out in visibiulity from afar.
