What we got was not thread by Radiant Threads. The thread we got was by Kolors. There isn't a color chart available anywhere for these colors or a conversion chart. I did get some free software from the sellers called "Kolors Thread Match" by MyThreadBox that does somewhat of a good job of telling you what Kolors thread would be a close match for the threads made by other manufactures. We have run into problems of finding the beginning of the thread on some spools which is always at the bottom of the spool. The thread is working well on our Baby Lock machine.
Here is my conversion chart I made for Medeira Threads to Kolor threads. Most of these are "close" matches. Of the 260 colors there are about 30 I have not been able to identify.

These are not Large spools, they are not the ones pictured. But there are many, many colors and at about .35 each still worth the price. Still, I hate buying something that turns out to not be what I thought it was so I wanted to let everyone know that the type of spools you get are small round cardboard ones not the large ones from the picture and hold about half of the thread that the ones in the picture would hold.

I recently purchased the 260 spools of polyester embroidery thread. Shipping was a day quicker than expected. This is a great buy with such a variety colors. The spools were made of clear plastic as pictured. I did have some hard-to-find ends to get the thread started but found they are at the bottom of the spool. After a few of these, I got quicker in locating the ends. There is no place to hold the loose ends of thread. I haven't had any issues with thread breakage as I've read from a couple other reviews. I would definitely buy this again.

I was very pleased and surprised. The colors they send are beautiful and vibrant. I always think when they have a deal you will be sorry but I'm not, can't beat the price that is for sure. I have found the Polyester thread is very strong. I have used it for about 17 projects and haven't had any of the thread break, well, unless I threaded my machine wrong. LOL The spool doesn't have a way to secure the tag end after it is used but I cut the plastic base with a pair of nail clippers and it holds the tag secure, only takes three seconds. If you think about the price it is under .50 cents a spool, which is quite a bit less than half price for most stores. I know if I had to do it over again I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this Mega Kit, I'm very pleased. April 29, 2013---UPDATE............I bought this thread in Oct. 2012, have use it in a Singer SES 2000 and my new Brother Laura Ashley Innov-is 5000 embroidery sewing machine. I haven't had one single problem with this thread. I also use it for all my sewing projects, I love to sew and spend many hours a week at my machine. Someone said the thread twisted in her machine, If you have your thread set up vertical it can't twist, my brother and singer both have vertical and horizontal feeds. If you don't have a vertical thread holder buy one if you think you will have a problem. I use the horizontal for my brother, no problem, lets face it if a machine is out of timing or your tension is set wrong it will break your thread I don't care how much you spend for it. Also you need to be using the right needle it's easy to blame the thread but usually it is our mistake (I know I have made them myself). I know it is expensive to take them in for service but it can save you more in the end.Read more ›

These threads were great to use. These spools have a built in keeper for loose ends - the bottom expands to reveal a groove to put the end of the thread in - then snaps shut to hold the end snug. This took me a bit to figure out, but once I did, the thread stayed on the spool better. Thus far no colors have ran when washed. Looking at buying the entire set. I started with the 40 colors.

This is a great bunch of embroidery thread. Plenty of colors to choose from. I tried to find on the internet how to cross reference the color numbers to Brother designs to no avail. Once i put the colors side by side with the few Brother spools I have I can see why. They are worlds apart. This is not a bad thing. Designs still come out beautiful, you just have to be a good judge of color to choose which you will be using. Piglet takes 4 different pinks. You will have more than 10 to choose from. They are also smaller than the Brother spools as my picture shows side by side. Each are covered by plastic and removing it and putting them in order is a daunting task, but as it all comes together it is pretty exciting to start creating all of the possibilities in your mind. The little number stickers on the top of each spool have to be removed to put it on your machine. I got a fine tip sharpie to write them on each spool just in case i need these numbers in the future for a non Brother design.. I am pleased with this purchase.
