This is a really great shower head! We bought it for our shower because we have a 20 month old daughter, and we thought it would be easier to bathe her with a handheld shower head. This shower head is GREAT, because it requires no compromises - it works fantastically as a normal shower head, providing great water pressure and coverage. It's also very attractive. It also works well as a handheld device, which is what we wanted it for.

As far as I can tell, it cannot be used as is in a split fashion, i.e., with both a fixed shower head and this hand held one. It is a replacement for your current shower head. And honestly, you don't really need a fixed shower head with this -- it works really well on its own. That said, perhaps there is some kind of splitter you can buy to keep both options available.

This is a high-quality attractive shower. The finish on the metal is excellent. As with all new showers sold in the US, the flow is limited to 2.5 gpm. What is good about this one is that its two flow limiters are easy to remove with an awl - no need to drill out any constrictions. Showering with this is a real lifestyle upgrade.

I'm not thrilled with this handshower. It has a real cheap feel, probably because it is all plastic. The hose is stiff, so it doesn't hang straight. I chose it for the name brand, but apparently even Hansgrohe produces some cheap junk. The water flow is pretty unimpressive, too. It is for my guest bathroom which is only used a few times a year, so it should last for a while. Unfortunately, with products like this that are so intricately packaged, it is such a hassle to try and repackage it to send back, so I will keep it. I would not recommend.

Another great stand up company. I had difficult experience with the product hose came came off from shower head at full pressure. it whip around and all I could do was protect my xxxx and turn off the water. I called the company and they sent me a new hose and shower head holder. This saved me time and expensive shipping costs to amazon. Truly a stand up company. Thank You Hansgrohe.

There is nothing special about this hand shower at from my experience but we will see how it will last, the water pressure in my apartment is very strong so the rain shower is not bad, the jury is still out, for the money it better last forever :-)
