Yes, giving a portion to breast cancer groups is great, but all but two of these clips came with the ribbon logo almost completely scratched off. I would rather have just bought shiny pink ones. They look like fingernails after most of the polish has been chipped off, just tacky. And for practicality, I can only slide a small amount of paper in them - comparable to a regular mini clip.

These metallic jewel-tone clips are very attractive and very high-quality.
They are packaged in an assortment of green, blue, gold, and pinkish-red.

I have noticed that the "Breast Cancer Awareness" version of this product has
received many very negative reviews, so I want to be clear that it is not that variant
for which I am writing this review. Apparently, that version is not merely a different
(and duller) color scheme, but it is actually manufactured in a different (and inferior) process.

In contrast, these metallic jewel-tone clips are quite well-made. The color-coordinated
rubbery coating on the clips' handles makes it easier to grip and use them, especially
when your hands are damp. I would describe the strength with which they grip as
being approximately 75% the strength of the standard black-and-sliver office clips.
This is more than adequate for our own kitchen-related usage: clipping shut our opened
bags of cereal, snack crackers, nuts, croutons, potato chips, bagged lettuce, etc.

I would recommend that you purchase the "Medium" size clip, rather than the "Large"
size clip, if you wish to use them to clip shut cereal bags within the cardboard cereal boxes.
Two of these medium-size clips per bag works perfectly for a secure seal on cereal bags.
The "Large" size clips, while good for potato chip bags, would be too great in width
(once their handles are in the flexed-open use configuration) to fit back down into
the cardboard cereal box.

After buying the pack of 72 Medium clips, I was surprised to see that we only had about
25 clips left over after placing two clips on every cereal bag, and snack bag in our pantry.
I'm sure I can make use of those remaining 25 clips in my home office.

I love the colors of these clips, and the colored rubber sleeve on the arms was another selling point for me. As an artist and art teacher, I've literally been using binder clips for decades, and even have some left over from my college years nearly twenty years ago (the standard, black metal clip with silver arms). Those have lasted me years and years... THESE haven't even lasted me a month yet!

All that I'm using these to clip is lightweight construction and 50 lb white Sulphite drawing paper (and not even a quality weight 50 lb paper; Sax Arts and Crafts has dropped the ball there for the past few years). After two weeks of holding small stacks of student drawings together, I've found at least four of these clips have broken at the spring joint of the metal clip. I'm not sure if somehow I got defective metal clips where the metal was heated to bend them into place, but never tempered after the fact, or if they're just crap clips, but, pretty as they are, they're the worst I've ever owned. And, consequently, this being my first Officemate product, I'm extremely leery now of anything else that they make. Thankfully Amazon's return policy is spectacular, so I've gotten a full refund for defective product, but now I'm back to the boring-yet-dependable black and silver clips that have always held me in good stead.

Disappointed... Never again, Officemate.

Beautiful pink binder clips, that are also very well made, and a great size! I purchased them because they were pink, but the plus side is, they have a tiny pink breast cancer awareness ribbon on each binder clip. Very cute -- very well made. Love them!

I use these mostly to clamp bags, like chips, rice cereal, and any dry foods. Also keep my lists I use daily clamped together so they don't get scattered. Also fertilizer, plant foods, insecticide bags. They are good everywhere, and they are strong and don't come loose.
