I have a sick cat, she has an upper respiratory infection and can't smell, and cats won't eat if they can't smell their food. I started feeding her baby food from 10 ml syringes, but they were just the regular drugstore variety, and the silicone tips got sticky pretty quickly, resulting in unexpected arrangements of food on nearby surfaces. It was driving me crazy. My husband mentioned that there should be some out there somewhere without the silicone, and I found these. They are perfect, and have held up very well, I have been at this for months now. I have moved on to regular cat food pushed through a food mill to smooth it out. She is not thrilled with the process, but does not mind eating, and will seek me out if her food is late, so for now, we will keep at it.

After using standard oral syringes and medicine droppers, this is a huge upgrade for getting medicine into my kid. The stopper fits every bottle we've tried (small and large, though this wouldn't fit really small bottles like vitamins that already come with a bulb syringe). The syringe comes clean in the dishwasher (not sure if it's supposed to go in the dishwasher, but after a few months the markings are still there).

If you use the Little Remedies acetaminophen, the syringes that come with that fit perfectly - the tip size seems to be fairly standard across infant medications with the new safety tops so all those syringes can serve as backup.

This item is just as advertised. Very useful for measuring small amounts. I like that it has a plastic cap in case you want to pull out the syringe and fill it from the top, this keeps the liquid from running out. Useful, of course, for filling the syringe from the bottle also.

I have been using these daily for the past 5 days--use, wash, use wash. After five days, the dosage markings have smeared all off which is, as you can imagine, kind of inconvenient. I ended up scratching marks into the barrel of the syringe with a thumbtack at the 1/2t, 1tsp, 1.5tsp, and 2 tsp marks so that, after all the marks finished rubbing off, I'd still be able to use the thing. I have a syringe from Walmart that I have been using with the same frequency for several weeks longer and all markings are still intact with no signs of rubbing off. So if you need something with actual markings on it, be prepared to a) scratch them in yourself or b) buy different syringes.

I cannot live without this. My daughter has allergies and eczema so everyday she has to take liquid Zyrtec. It is impossible to get liquid out of a bottle once you've used about 25% of it. I also feel it's a little unsanitary to empty it into the measuring cup and then use a syringe device and pour the remains of the cup back into the bottle...not to mention a little messy. This two piece device is an absolute gem so when the numbers wore off of my last syringe and I could not find one locally I came to Amazon and thankfully they had some, so I ordered 2.

If you have a small child who needs to take a liquid medication on a daily basis this is your best friend.
