The cover on the box really holds in moisture. So if you are a cat owner, you know the last thing you need is cat urine that can't get totally absorbed by the litter. But once I stopped using the cover, the problem was resolved.

If I only paid $12.00 for it I might not be so upset. But I paid much more than that and I'm very upset. The plastic is flimsy and cheap. I am most angry about the urine that collects between the bottom and top and spills over the sides. To make matters worse, in this same area there are little holes drilled into the plastic and of course the urine spills through those and onto the floor. I don't even know what these holes are for. Urine and kitty litter also end up spilling over the side of the front entry. I spend more time time cleaning up around the box and in between the top and bottom than I do inside the pan . My cats pee high and finding a cat box has been quite difficult and costly. I have multiple cats ranging in age from 5 yrs to 16 1/2 yrs. I have to say that I love the top entry Clevercat box but it's too small for larger cats and my older guy. This is only good if you have smaller cats that don't pee high.

I have a large cat ( Maine Coon mix), who likes to use the corners of
the litter pan. It took me some time to realize that this was the cause of
her accidents, wetting the floor or carpet around the pan. Not bad behavior,
just bad aim. This pan is large and has very high sides, which taper down
towards the front, to make access easier. This has basically solved the
problem; the only caveat is that I have to keep the litter level low because
if it is too deep, she is raised too high and the sides may not contain her.
I have not had to use the cover because I was concerned that would result
in her not using the box because of its strangeness. The other thing I really
like is that this has a smooth interior, without the raised center, ridges or
squared off corners found in some litter pans, so it is very easy to clean.

I have a tiny 7 lb and huge 15lb cat, both can use this box. It is easy to clean, has a very smooth interior, and the translucent lids lets light in and does not fully "enclose" one of my more timid kitties. The back goes up about a foot, so the urine sprayed that way doesn't leak out the lid. The lid snaps securely in place enough to lift it to move it around if needed...I wouldn't carry it around though, but to clean around the box, the handle and lid are secure enough to move it out of the area. I've done this a few times now quite easily. The filter is lacking in quality, but easy enough to replace, and there is no door flap, but I found those often just get stuck and annoy the cats anyway. If your kitties go potty in the back of the box like mine do, this is a great design and the smooth surface makes it easy to clean!! Also, the pink is a very pastel pearly pink, I don't generally like pink, but it is not an overwhelming shade at all.

I have used these litter boxes for years..and when I see Jumbo that is what I expect...but this was smaller than the ones I was getting rid of because of their age and the inability to really scrub clean for the umpteenth time. There are also hooks on the inside of the door opening for a flap, but the flaps were not included. The snaps on the side of these litter boxes are of a poor quality. The older version were sturdy and easier to work...these are awkward and hard to maneuver and I would never trust picking this box up by the handle as a result...This is not the same quality I came to depend on...and the cats are still using the larger box---they know!!

I went from smaller sized covered cat litter pans to these. My cats love the extra space these pans give them. No more finding 'extras' outside the litter pan. It also helps having the see through lid. The lids helps with shy cats who don't like being surprised by another cat sneaking up on them while there in the cat box. I only wish I had been able to choose the colors of the 4 boxes that I ordered. Received 3 teal colored and 1 pink. Would have loved all pink ones.

Like a few customers, my package didn't get broken. That's a surprise because the litter box was not securely package at all.
It arrived a week late in a huge box. If that's not enough, it came in pink color. When I was expecting a blue litter box. The only good thing about this product is that its quite big for my growing cat.

The Clear Lid on these is FAR superior to the opaque ones that replace it in the newer model. Be aware though that they are shipping PINK litterboxes, NOT Blue. You will get a Pink box!

The clear top means light can get in - better for cat.
It means the cat can see out - less resistance to using litterbox in general, and reduces possibility of surprise ambush by another cat.

The material is easy to clean - it is a non-stick kind of plastic.
