This is a very nice rack. Solidly built, nice finish, and the half circle shape looks nice.

A quick note about mounting this. A previous reviewer said it is not possible to mount this on wall studs. This is only partially correct. This rack has three holes: two on the half circle, and one on the middle bar (the part that extends vertically). The two holes on the circle are spaced exactly 16 inches apart- this is the correct spacing for wall studs. The third hole is right in the middle of the other two holes so unless you have some strange wall studs you will not be able to attach this to a stud. Although the instructions say that you need to attach all 3 points to studs, the rack hangs absolutely fine if you only attach 2/3 points. Just make absolutely sure that that you attach both points to studs (this is a must!) and that you use a *toggle bolt* for the third point- these are very strong bolts that can hold 200+ lbs by themselves. We've mounted ours with two wall studs and a toggle bolt and it is 100% sturdy. We can fully load it up with six heavy pans and it's very stable.

So, don't be afraid because of the other reviewer's comments.

This unit works very well in an area that does not have a ton of room. I installed this in my apartment very easily and it works great. If I had more room I would have gone for a ceiling mount, but this is perfect for a wall mount unit. The area I installed it in had no real studs to drill in to as they are metal and framed on the edges of this wall spot. I used 3, 200 lb toggle bolts instead and it holds fine and is very sturdy .

It does the job, looks great, and is very sturdy. The key is obviously in how well it's mounted, as the instructions make clear. I have the rear mounts, which are 16" apart to line up with standard-spaced wall studs, in studs using the included lag bolts. The holes are big enough to allow some wiggle room, which is nice and also lets you fine tune to ensure that it's level. I have the center mount in drywall using the included toggle bolt anchor (which contrary to another reviewer's comment, is permitted by the instructions). Everything feels very sturdy this way.

A couple notes:

The instructions say drill a 3/8" hole in the drywall for this particular toggle bolt. Good luck getting it through that size hole. I had to drill 1/2" and then pound the bolt/anchor through with a hammer. Maybe they changed hardware but did not update the instructions?

The included hex nut DID NOT fit the center bracket bolt. The center bracket attaches to the rack via one bolt that is welded to the inside of the rack. I assumed the nut was poorly machined and would thread on with some effort, but upon examination it appeared that the threads were finer than the bolt, no match. I was taken aback that a seemingly quality product could have such a glaring oversight. Not sure if I just got unlucky (no other review mentions this) or if there's a bad batch out there. Luckily I was able to rummage around my spare parts bin and find a nut with the correct threading, which proved the issue. Could easily be solved by someone else in the same spot with a quick trip to the hardware store and 20 cents, but still very annoying. Just for information, the "Nut Thread" problem mentioned in other reviews must have been corrected, mine fit. I love this thing. I actually cut off the support bracket, re-curved it and attached to the bottom of my Short (12") wall cabinet. With an LED under cabinet light it makes my prep area a unique and very efficient setup. It is a great piece of hardware.

Got the rack installed but only after a trip to the hardware store to get the correct nut for the threaded weld stud. The nut that was shipped with the unit is standard thread and the weld stud is a 1.50mm metric thread pitch. The molly bolt that shipped was alleged to be a 3/16" device and required a 3/8" hole to be drilled. That wasn't correct either and the molly broke. I used 75 pound E-Z Ancor drywall anchors to secure the bar and in place of the lag bolts since I had no wall studs in my install location.

The package comes with all the hardware you need to install, 3 lag bolts and a 3/16" toggle bolt (in case you can't find 3 studs in the right places). I purchased my own toggle bolts after reading other reviews, but it turns out I didn't even need it. It feels sturdy enough to easily hold the weight of 6 pans (I have two 12" skillets, two 10" skillets, and two large saute pans hanging on mine). Installation was simple enough to do by myself. The brushed stainless steel finish goes beautifully with SS cookware. The only reason I knocked off a star is because it seems pricey for what you get but it's fine functionally and aesthetically.
