Good kit

Style Name: Gas Verified Purchase

Had most of what I needed for a water heater replacement: two braided flex hoses for water inlet and outlet; two compression fittings to attach to existing copper piping; thread tape for connections; and a flexible gas hose. Quality is high, fittings all worked well and don't have any leaks approximately 10 days after install.

Removed one star because the hoses are female on both ends, and the water heater I purchased (as well as many others, I later learned) also had female fittings for water inlet and outlet. This meant another trip to the local big box store to buy male-to-male couplers, in order to actually attach the hoses to the heater. A warning on the item that "water heater connection types vary; ensure you've got a male inlet/outlet connection" would have been greatly appreciated and saved me a trip, making this a five star item.

Great kit

Installed a water heater myself, and with this kit it was pretty easy. Initially I was concerned with the flat spot at the 90 degree bend required by my setup in one flex hose, but as I suspected, with pressure and heat the hose assumed its full diameter. I am a little apprehensive regarding the durability, only because I am a natural skeptic. I can sweat solder, but my pipes were flat against the concrete foundation and there was not enough pipe from the right angle fitting. So, this was an easy install, without a major overhaul. Hey, the braided hoses look really cool too!

good all in one kit

This is well made but I could only use the gas line. Water lines were too long for my install. Not their fault my water heater is a basement install with copper pipes leaving no room for flex. I would have like to use these but was not going to redo piping unless I had to. Maybe when in remodel later.
