First bought this in Seattle when we were on a trip. Glad to find it on line for such a great price! The rub is sweet so if you are a savory only type of person, it's not the rub for you. We love it. I pat it on, spray it with PAM, and throw it on the George Foreman. Add some brown rice and green beans and you have a quick, nutritious meal!

This is one of my favorite rubs out there, and years ago my sister would bring me back a tub every time she went to Seattle (where it can also be found in Tom Douglass' restaurant – Etta's, I believe).

If you like salmon and haven't tried salmon with this rub, you are really missing out. This is absolutely delicious and really elevates the salmon. I am an avid cook and love to try new recipes, but about 2/3 of the time I reach for this rub when I make salmon, because it is so delicious. It makes it have a great sweetness and makes it well spiced/flavored (but not hot/spicy). If you put a good amount all over the salmon and then grill it, it soaks into the salmon and the brown sugar in the rub heats up and creates a bit of a crust on the top of the fish. Even those who might not love salmon, might be pleasantly surprised with this rub.

We go through so much of this on salmon, that the small sized tubs weren't lasting long enough. This tub is huge and amazing – it will last so long that I plan to share some with my sister. I was pleasantly surprised at the size when it arrived, as I didn't think it would be quite as large as it is. For the price, if you like the rub, it is well worth buying the big tub over the smaller tubs...

FYI, over time, after a year or so, the rub seems to cake up a bit, but it doesn't affect the rub at all and when you put it on the salmon and rub it between your fingers, the cakes easily break apart.

This is the best salmon seasoning ever! Just rub a little olive oil on your salmon then sprinkle liberally with this seasoning. Bake or grill...And voila...Perfect salmon! This yields better salmon than most restaurants.

Delicious!! Will be ordering again. Brown sugar base and very good flavor. My sister in law and brother made salmon for Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. Sister in law said she gets this rub from her aunt in California, her aunt ships her a jar every year. I was so happy to see it on Amazon. I've tried the salmon rubs they sell at Cub Foods grocery store and its not as good as this one.

I am a BBQ sauce fan and had never tried a rub. I saw how it was used on a cooking show and decided to try it out. I have been experimenting with it and others I ordered at the same time. Interesting.

I don't think I will give up BBQ sauce but I did like what I could do with the rub and it is quite tasty. I am still experimenting and have even tried it along with my BBQ sauce. Worth a try.

The rubs are not limited to the BBQ and I like what I have been able to do with in in the oven and skillet.

I would say it is worth a try.
