I bought the 62-piece Plastic Marble Run (House of Marbles) for my kids for Christmas. The 62 piece kit was nice but didn't have a lot of variety and we (or I..not sure my kids care) wanted more to build with. I was happy to find that this Mindware Add-on (along with the 105 piece set) also fit with the House of Marbles run. I wasn't sure if they would be compatible when I bought it---it wasn't easy to tell except that the pieces looked similar in the pictures on the box. Anyway, I am excited that it all fits together and thought I would let you all know that the Mindware and House of Marbles plastic runs are compatible!

My kids loved the additional pieces that came with this set - especially that wide red track. However, the set is not quite what is pictured here. For example, the blue "leg" is not part of the set and the translucent "spinner" is not. (Another "spinner" is, but it's one of the horizontal "to the side" kinds from the other set.) Also, there's only one of the clear "regular" pieces.

All in all, I'm still pleased with the purchase but would have appreciated the set matching the picture.

Unlike the other reviewers I was unlucky enough to receive a shoddy example of what seems an otherwise excellent product. Only about 1/3 of the parts fit snugly enough to hold together. And when I finally do manage to build something, the slightest nudge will bring it crashing down. I am forced to build very small structures which are quite boring to a six yr old. We are both very disappointed . buyers should know that not every set is of the same quality. Buyer be wary.

I bought the marble run for my 4 year old who is very mechanically inclined and he absolutely loves it. He needs help putting it together but he and his daddy have such fun creating many different ways to let the marbles fall. If you aren't willing to take the time to share this with your child then don't buy it but if you are - get ready for hours of fun together!
