I usually order these from petmeds and my dogs think they're chewy and delicious.I ordered from Amazon because they offer a bigger bag, but they came hard as a rock. They are the consistency of rawhide when they're supposed to be the consistency of dehydrated veggies - I could snap them in half with minimal effort, when they should bend and be difficult to halve. I won't be ordering again from here, I'll stick to petmeds.

The dogs love these--one dog is addicted to the point that she goes nuts when she sees the bag. However, a bag doesn't last long at all and the price is, frankly, usurious. I thought seven fifty was WAY too much, and the price only seems to go up. A slightly better deal is Sam's Yams (much larger bag--more than twice as large). If one wants to go to the effort (and I do, often) one can dehydrate the sweet potatoes at home, either in the oven or using a dehydrator. It does take time to cut/prep the things, but it will save you a few dollars if you're wanting to economize.

The Crumps slices are nicely and thoroughly dried and well packaged, I will say--it's just that they cost way too doggone much. If they could find a way to make the product more affordable, I would "buy rather than dry" more frequently.

my Havanese is on a raw diet and needs extra fiber. i have tried every sweet potato chew i could-find ad most were full of additives - even sugar. a few were ok but were a bit tale and too hard for a small dog to chew. the crumps are ust alittle soft and she loves them. each piece is fairly large and i do have to cut them but its easy enough to do.

I actually purchased these because of the negative reviews claiming they are "too hard." I wanted something that would keep my dog busy for a while and not get totally eaten in minutes. But these are not hard like people claim. My dog does like them but they are soft and chewy and she totally eats them in about a minute flat. Very poor choice if you want something that will last a while and keep your pup occupied.

Our doxie has had bouts of pancreatitis so we needed a low fat, good fiber, healthy treat for her. We stopped giving her rawhide years ago so wanted something that could giver her doxie teeth a work out like rawhide. We know giving treats is a "people" thing but it is still nice to be able to giver her something periodically. But we were so hesitate because of the pancreatitis. Crumps is THE perfect thing for her. We actually cut them in strips (need a tough pair of scissors) and give them to her periodically. She LOVES them !!!!

Well she loved them and still does but we have had to stop giving them to her. We were cutting them into smaller strips and giving the small strip to her periodically. We noticed about 4 a.m. (3 different times) after giving her a strip the evening before she woke us up with an upset tummy. She walked around somewhat uncomfortable like and in 2 cases refused food for about 6 hours and the other time she vomited. Since we have stopped giving them to her this has stopped. No more for her.

Dog loves them, but expensive, considering you can make them yourself with an oven on 250 or a dehydrator. Slice thin with a potato slicer (1/4"). Dry until almost crispy (they harden when cool). Since they then have almost no odor and my dog is therefore not interested, I put them in a jar with a couple of pieces of an ultra-smelly soft commercial dog treat (like Pepperoni), covered with a lid for a day or so (time to pull out those old unused Mason jars), and the treat slightly softens the sweet potatoes while at the same time 'imparts' the smell of the soft treat yet the potatoes retain chewiness. Haven't needed to refrigerate them yet; no mold apparent, but you can refrigerate if you wish. Clever, eh? I didn't make this up, so I can't take full credit--except for the Pepperoni part--like everything else in my life, I found this info online.

Our husky pup has a really sensitive stomach and lots of allergies and these treats are great! I originally was buying them from Costco (but it was just called Caledon Farms) for the same size bag but it was only $16 there. However, all of our local costco's stopped selling them, and I tried other brands that just made her sick and get digestive problems. I was really happy to find these on Amazon referred to as Crumps but still sourced from Caledon Farms and the packaging looks similar. Although the price is much steeper, nothing else compares to this. I tried dehydrating them at home, but the quality just wasn't the same. Five stars for the treat, probably 3-4 stars for the price. My pup absolutely ADORES this and will come running if I'm even heading towards the direction of her treat box. We've found that they fit really nicely into the Kong football squeaker toys, so we'll stuff the long strips into the opening and she tuckers herself out trying to get the whole treat. I like that there is only one ingredient in this treat too, no additives and grain free!

My dog, who shows little interest in treats, adores these things. Too bad because they are horribly expensive, especially when one considers how much a pound of sweet potatoes costs, even those that are grown organically. I'm not sure I'll purchase them regularly because I can't quite get my mind around paying nearly $30 for a bag of sweet potato dog treats!
