There are two issues with this shower system. 1. The shower head does not provide a satisfactory range of spray patterns. If you can't live with a basic rain pattern, this head is not for you. 2. The vertical bar is positioned very close to the wall which makes it difficult to remove and reattach the spray head or operate the lever which allows you to slide the head up or down. The overall concept appeared to be just what I was looking for but the design falls short of expectations.

I put a rain shower head and handheld shower, both delta, in both of my newly remodeled bathrooms. The contractor put the hand held shower on the wall, and put the rain head shower directly in the middle of the ceiling in the shower. The look is beautiful, the pressure from the rain head shower is incredible, and I just can't say enough how much I love this and the delta hand held shower. I strongly recommend this item if you are going to remodel your shower with multiple shower heads.

Very pleased with this shower head. Got it for my 88 year old mother who has come to live with us. She uses it with a bench to shower. This shower head sits at the perfect angle when on the adjustable rod so that it doesn't spray in her face.

These folks probably designed a nice handshower and slide bar then decided to cutback on cost and delivers a poor product.
Handshower - Great...plastic then again almost all are.
Slide bar - It's nice. Here are the problems: The bases are too short so the slide mechanism ends up too close to the wall and if you have the it pointing to either the side you can not turn the knob to loosen and slide it.
Shower hose - You would almost be better off with a garden hose. It's stiff and of the cheap kind. So if you want to tilt the shower head downwards the hose hits the wall and pushes the head out of the slide.
Overall you don't get a slide bar you get a holder that moves up and down without letting you position the shower head at will.
I think the folks at Delta most not have tested this product otherwise they would have fixed it. I am going to look for another slide bar. this one is not what it should be.

This is one of three shower heads in our master bath. The slide bar and handshower are great. However, the hose that comes with this is really cheap... black plastic that is super stiff; it doesn't hang down, it doesn't really match Venetian Bronze, and is just a disappointing finish to the room. Maybe we can find a replacement for just the hose?

Contractor was having fits trying to use the hose to measure the location of the supply elbow in relation to the slide bar. Fortunately I came home for lunch that day and helped him out. Frankly, I was shocked at the cheap hose included with this hand held shower package from Delta. The shower hose is permanently kinked plastic with a bright chrome finish. Looks and feels like it belongs on the $49.95 special at the box store. We're using all Delta in a master bath remodel but I'm not happy with this component and it makes me worry about the rest of the faucets, valves, etc.. We didn't use Delta to go cheap, we wanted reasonable quality for the money and American Made if possible. I've already ordered a replacement hose from American Standard (metal, flexible and a much better color match to Delta's stainless color). If I have big issues with anything else on this unit it will get sent back.

I love the look but didn't realize it would cost so much to get it. A bit hard to switch from shower to hand held (after you buy a diverted) because my husband is over 6' and I am 5'. So it works great for him but too high for me. So we just leave it in the middle and run both at one time. You will also need the faucet fixture and the diverter. The look would rate at 5 stars but the inconvenience of not having everything in one box makes it only 4.

This item was shipped and arrive ahead of the delivery date and in good condition. The material is very good for the price and mounting the slide bar was a breeze.The sliding bar is metal and works great. The sliding mechanism slide very smooth up and down the metal bar, I was vey really suprised. The sprayer head has some plastic around the adjustment ring for the sprayer but I really Don't think that will be a problem. Over all this is a good product for the price and beats the other products in this price range.
