I use kava as a sleep aid frequently. I really like this particular brand. I find it to be very effective (two capsules; plus I take a magnesium supplement) and it doesn't do that horrible "burp-back" that some herbal supplements do which is really unpleasant in kava or valerian supplements.

I have found that it promotes mood enhancement and relaxation, and I have seen my RLS and myoclonus symptoms abide when I take it about an hour before bedtime.

It doesn't make me sleepy, though. If I were looking for a sleeping pill, this would not be it.

I've tried many Kava Kava extracts over the past 30 years. Most are useless. This one joins those ranks. Every time I find a good one, they stop production. Maybe I should just stop trying them. They're far too pricey to waste testing on.
