I had a drain in the basement laundry room that had a 1/8" tube feeding it to my old laundry sink. I renovated the laundry room and put in a new counter/sink. My problem was that the new laundry faucet does not come with a 1/8" hose barb to feed water to the trap every time I turned on the tap.

The solution was to get these two items:

SMC KQ2T11-35AS PBT & Brass Push-to-Connect Tube Fitting with Sealant, Branch Tee, 3/8" Tube OD x 1/4" NPT Male
Anderson Metals Brass Hose Fitting, Connector, 1/8" Barb x 1/4" Female Pipe

Then i cut the 3/8" soft copper line that connects the tap to the faucet. Then I inserted the Tee (with the hose barb to female NPT adapter already installed).
This allowed me to connect the 1/8" tube to the faucet so that whenever i turn on the tap, it feeds water to the drain to keep the P trap fresh.

This part worked like a charm

I couldn't find this size in any of the stores near where I live. Of course I found it on Amazon and it was exactly what I was looking for. Price seems a bit steep but it was reasonable enough that if I need another one I'll probably just order it from here rather than waste so much time looking around again.

I used two of these brass adapters on a pair of water flow meters, works perfectly! The female side is 1/2" pipe thread and the barb is also 1/2". Highly recommend this adapter as it is high quality made.

Perfect fit for my Autometer Boost Gauge. It will replace the piece that makes you use the the brass fitting for the prone to cracking nylon hose. I can now rung a rubber vacuum hose to the gauge and not have to worry about it cracking.

this is a fine fitting --- be aware these are sized not according to a metric 1/4 on the female end (you'd need approx 1/8 in for that) --- check the pipe fitting size charts before making a purchase if unfamiliar with the conversion.... but the adapter itself was well made with no issues,

Size was exactly as advertised. Used this to convert my Craftsman tire inflator's hose over to the standard 1/4 npt to allow for standard compressor accessories to be used. Measure the exact inside diameter of the hose to choose the correct barb size, I almost bought one a size too small.

Incorrectly identified. Should read 1/4" Female Pipe x 1/8" Barb. No money back remedy. I tried to remedy by notifying them but I received the same item in exchange. Just something else to put in a box of stuff.
