The local big-box stores don't carry this in my town, so took a chance and ordered three cans online. I was trying to adhere some thin plywood panels to foam board, and most of the products I tried failed miserably.

This stuff is extremely sticky and gooey, so definitely wear your gloves and eye protection. At first glance it appears to be the same as standard insulating foam. I didn't think I would have to use any mechanical fasteners while the product was drying, but I was wrong. This is expanding foam and will push panels apart without some kind of fastening device while its drying. . I'm not so sure that would be the case with say 3/4" tongue and groove plywood, but on the thin plywood panels I was gluing down, it definitely was the case.

I gave the panels a couple of hours, and yes the glue held to the foam, BUT I can also pull the panel off of the foam board with a small amount of effort, and completely remove the adhesive from the foam with next to no residue. So, it really doesn't stick to foam all that well. It appears it saturated the wood much deeper, and perhaps gluing wood to wood would be much better. I don't see myself switching from standard construction adhesive for that though.

So, is a product a failure? Well, not completely as the product does adhere wood to foam, and it does take some force to separate the two. Perhaps for average use it would stay put for a long time, but just be aware that, without not a huge amount of force you can separate the bond.

I will update the review after I do some more panels and experimenting. I think it definitely has its place, and so far works better than other products I've tried.

This foam glue works great! I have tried Liquid Nails and a Landscaping Adhesive to get styrofoam insulation to stick to metal. Both failed miserably. I just sprayed this Great Stuff on the foam and pressed it on. After letting it dry for a few hours I closed the overhead metal doors. Today I opened them up and I'm thrilled to say it works!

Remember, to reinforce this w screws etc. if you use it for floor joists etc. (prevents future floor squeaks)

By theway, I estimated I would need three cans but I'm still on my first.

Excellent yield- was using one large tube of caulk per sheet of polystyrene at $12 each... this covered 14 sheets for the price of one. Does not have good initial grab, so need to secure for several hours, but final hold is very strong

Arrived promptly with no problems. Works great. I was using it for my shower base. All cans were working great except for one. It would not work. Acted like it had no pressure.

Good product. Not sure if it's stronger than PL premium but it worked well on all the sub floors that I have built. Highly recommend it.
