The hutch is great and went together easily. Please note it does not come with the required wire clip pliers one needs to put it together. So add $15 to the price.

Excellent for Large Breed Rabbits

I have 2 of these for my New Zealand Red does. I have the smaller 24" model for my buck. They assemble easily and stack well if you buy the Little Giant Rabbit Hutch Frame Kit.

Frame Kits -

AHFK24 for the 24" cages
AHFK30 for the 30" cages (I have not found this kit online - the only difference from the 24" is the length of the rails used to hold the litter pan, which I have overcome by fabricating a longer rail). Everything else is the same between the 2 kits.

The plastic trim around the door does not last long as the rabbits will eventually chew it to pieces.

Assembly Requires J-Clip Pliers - Not Included

I ordered this cage because the price was about the same as what it would cost me to buy the materials and build it myself, which would normally be the cheaper option. I was quite disappointed to see that the cage arrived completely disassembled. Nowhere in the description did it inform me that I would need j-clip pliers to assemble the cage. Fortunately, I happened to already have a pair from building previous cages, but if I had to waste the time and money to buy the pliers, I would have been really upset. Other than this issue, the cage seems to be of good quality. The only thing it lacks is a hook to hold the door open.

Great cages

Purchased for use with Coturnix quail - not rabbits.

I purchased a different branded one first, and then three of these. Both cages have things that I like about them, and wish the other brand had done. I like the construction with the cage clips. They are easy to use, durable, and not too bulky. I like the spring and clip type latch. I like the offset door. The other cage had a different sort of coating that wasn't as hard on my hands, and made the finished cage a little bit more attractive.

Overall these cages will work very well for my needs. I think that the cage clip pliers being sold separately in this case makes sense, as I believe many people buy a number of these cages along with the cage frame kits and stack them all together. I purchased four cages, and would be annoyed at having 3 extra sets of pliers that I didn't need and having paid the extra cost of each kit for something I didn't need.

Great cage with room for improvement

this is a great looking cage, seems to be sturdy and rather easy to assemble if one has the right tools, which i had. it does not come with tools nor does it come assembled, which for one reason or another is what i had thought it did. i do not remember reading requires assembly or needs tools. but otherwise my rabbit girls are very happy. I also fabricated my own door closure as this one requires installation of the door inside and this is something i did not agree with or feel is safe. the sidewalls are so large in space that if my rabbit were to have babies, i would have to install additional screening around the bottom. just for those of you who plan on breeding rabbits it is something to consider as the babies will fall through the openings.

SAVE YOURSELF GRIEF.... DON'T BUY!!!!

This is such a waste of money.... If you love you animals, don't buy this... what a POS... This comes bent and it is so cheap that the wire bends when my 2 pound bunny walks in it... the latch falls off and won't stay on.. they send you pieces and you have to put it all together,even the door... I recommend you buy cages from a better vender, I sure did.

Other than the fact that the latch spring gets undone sometimes they work great. Putting them together was no problem

Very easy as no cutting is required

They came with the clips to assemble, also the spring latch. I already had the tools necessary to assemble cages. Very easy as no cutting is required. I just put together, ordered a pan for the bottom and good to go. I put mine on t-stakes, tie them with zip ties. Work great for rabbits with the Plastic Dropping/litter pan.

It does not come with the necessary tool to bend the metal bands to connect the sides. The tool is sold separately but this is not mentioned anywhere visible.
