This tuner is same as the Snark SN-5 guitar, bass, & violin tuner. It does not come with tap tempo metronome, pitch calibration, transpose feature, and/or built-in mic. The red Snark SN-2 all instrument tuner comes with those features. The blue Snark SN-1 guitar tuner has most of those features except built-in mic. Otherwise this is an EXCELLENT tuner! Rated 4 star because description was not accurate.

I've bought a number of clip-on tuners, beginning with the early IntelliTouch models. So far, this is my favorite. It is accurate (I've tested it against my strobe tuner). It clips on securely to the headstock without marring the wood finish. And it's balanced center of gravity keeps it from falling off the headstock onto the floor (a problem I had with the early IntelliTouch tuner).
I highly recommend this tuner for indoor or night-time gigs. Since it has an LED display, it does "wash out" in the daylight, so I use a non-LED pedal tuner on outdoor daytime gigs.
This thing is great. Check it out.

I have had this item for several months now and it works exactly as advertised. I just leave it on the neck all the time and it is VERY handy for mid session tuning that way. I paid a couple bucks extra to get the black color so it would be less noticeable. Would buy again if this one were lost.

Edit 10-2013: After a couple of years I had to change the battery. Still a great product!

After using those old quartz meter tuners with the slide switches for each string, this thing is amazing. Just clip it onto the head stock and it works. No slide switches, just the "on/off" button, and it displays every note - not just the 6 base strings. I tried it on electric and acoustic guitar, banjo, ukulele, and even a couple cigar box guitars. It even turns itself off if you forget. Even though it doesn't have a wide display viewing angle, I won't take away a star for that. Awesome.

Works great ! especially for the price, one important thing is you MUST try the clip in a couple of different places on the headstock, mute all other strings except the one you are tuning and wait at least 5 seconds for the display to darken before going to the next string. IMHO it's better to start with the low E as it has the most tension and work your way up to the high E, then do it again.
Although it can be used to check intonation it's really not accurate enough to start screwing around with your bridge setup.
For $20 it can't be beat.

What a great little tuner. I guess I've bought 6 or 7 by now, I've only broken one, (my bad) and have given the bulk to friends. I use it every time I play and have not had to change the battery ever. It's a little sluggish recognizing the low E on a bass, but it finally does after a second or 2.

This is the best AND the most economical solution to re-tuning a guitar onstage. It's a fast re-tune because it's easy to read under any lighting situation, very accurate, and quickly reflects the pitch of the string. It's almost invisible onstage; it hides behind the guitar headstock. It's also lightweight and small, a real plus for any equipment on the road.

I have at least 6 guitar tuners and until they go bad, they all work about the same. This one is new and works fine so far. Word of caution, DON'T buy one with the goose-neck configuration as it WILL get broken. Usually in the case but it is also easily snagged by someone else walking by if you play in outside jam sessions.
