I bought my wife a used camera, and it didn't have a lens cap. It was a store return, or demo, unit in like new condition so I wanted to keep it protected. I've used the seller eForCity for phone and camera accessories before, thus I expected a good low cost item, and that is just what I got. Works perfect, and wasn't pricey. Win win.

I tried and tried to make this work with my 55mm lens but it just wouldnt stay. I'm not sure if I was sent the wrong item or if I got a faulty one. at 99 cents it wasnt worth sending it back or trying again.

The lens cap is a sturdy piece of plastic that easily mounts to your lens with or without a filter. Easily squeeze the 2 pieces together so it fits around the rim of your lens/filter. Comes with an attached string that is more annoying to me, whereas I'll just put the cap in my pocket. It's one piece of inexpensive equipment that's a must have to protect your lenses.

Works great on my Sony A55 55mm lens and I love having a leash. I don't know how many lens caps I've lost and replaced and now it's connected and I don't have to worry about where it is while I shooting.

Good tight grip in camera lens opening and on attached filters. Ridges on pinch grips provide excellent grasp. Ones that came with camera are smooth and somethimes difficult to grasp without slipping.

I purchased this for my Vivitar 28-55mm prime lens. My mother got the lens from a friend, and it didn't have a lens cap. This one fits perfectly! It's a snap-in kind like most DSLR camera kit lenses have. It also came with a fine black string so you can attach the lens cap to your camera, but it is not pre-threaded like in the photograph. I probably won't use it, so this isn't a huge deal. If you're not sure if this cap will fit your lens, check the front of the lens where the focal lengths are printed for a symbol that looks like a circle with a line through it. Whichever number this symbol is next to is the size lens cap you need for that lens.

The eForCity 55mm Camera Lens Cap is not a option. Don't fit like the original lens cap, so choose other

...and I paid .04 for this lens cap (+ $2.98 shipping!) I guess if your lens or camera didn't come with a cap or you lost yours this wouldn't be horrible. The lanyard is NOT attached as the photos imply it's just a 21" long piece of cheap nylon string. The cap has a single (why?!) hole to thread the line through to attach the lanyard line. The distance between the back of the hole and the inner wall of the cap is literally 2mm. I tried for over half an hour and could not for the life of me thread the lanyard onto the cap. If I safety line the cap to the camera I really have no use for the product. I had been told this held a little better than the stock lens cap that came with the Panasonic Lumix FZ70 that I just purchased but I didn't see that it had any more holding power on the 55mm Sigma UV filter I have mounted on my camera than the factory lens (which came with an easily attached lanyard). The stock cap is somewhat lower in profile than this.

Since the shipping was a several hundred times the cost of the item there's no sense or reason to return this. I guess I'll throw it in my 'spare and old gear' bag and if I somehow lose the Lumix cap that came with and is safely attached by a lanyard to my camera I'll have a spare.

Color me completely unimpressed.
